Week 2 Reflection
What verse did you choose this week that stood out to you the most? How did applying it change your attitude or decisions? What did you learn about God or yourself? The verses that stood out to me most this week are Psalm 63:1-8. Lately, I have been dwelling on God's love for me. How deep and how wide it really is. Something that none of us could truly comprehend. I feel that everyday, God is allowing me to understand more and more. I am to the point where I am truly just in awe of everything He does. He amazes me everyday. So, these verses have been in my head all week. And, I love how it describes my want for Him as more of a thirst. As more of a necessity than a want. And it's so true! I need Him in every part of my life. Anyway, I am glad to be dwelling on this around Christmas time, I feel that it is allowing me to appreciate His gifts so much more this year.

Today's teaching really convicted me. In this holiday season, it is so easy to get distracted and caught up in the busyness that comes with it all. But, it is so important that we focus on the true meaning of Christmas. To be more intentional with Him, and to dwell on the best gift anyone has every given us. The gift of Jesus.

@Isaac Wienen Today's verse brought me comfort. He tells me I do not have to be strong everyday. Lately, there has been some things in my life that I have been really struggling with. Some days are really hard, but the Lord is my strength and He never leaves. He gives me grace in these moments and knows my heart completely. He is using this verse to remind me that I am not alone and He fights my battles for me. And I am so thankful for His love towards me.

@Isaac Wienen That's a pretty convicting message. For me, that was something I really struggled with like a year a half ago. I was going through a dry season and felt further from God. But, since then, I have learned that being more intentional with my time with Him helps me to stay away from those thoughts and feelings. I keep falling more in more in love with my Savior everyday. Learning more, and growing closer to Him. That helps me to truly value His gift for me more and more everyday.

The sermon I heard was about having a deep longing for our Savior. I am learning to not only desire my Lord, but to be hungry for the Lord. He is a need not just a want anymore. And, we were also reminded of how much more abundantly we can receive the blessings of the Lord if we shared what we currently have with others. The Pastor said, we do not HAVE to be selfish anymore. We can give everything we have and still have enough to fulfill our needs. Because we have a God who gives abundantly we have no need to worry. That hit me hard today. Lastly, I want to share the verses we read today, Psalm 63:1-5. Psalm 63 as a whole is so beautiful and really stuck with me throughout today. I encourage all of you to look it up and let me know your thoughts on it!
