Book recommendations
Hi all, In our Q&A today we discussed the two books I recommend all men who are working to repair their relationship to read. I said I would post Amazon links here: 1. https://amzn.eu/d/00FYvrtC Jeff Borkoski's Better Man, Better Marriage 2. https://amzn.eu/d/0b1Hb3hu GS Youngblood's The Masculine in Relationship

just been to pick up my little boy, wife is talking to me talking to me calmly and had a little joke, is she like this because this is the situation she wants?

try not to over think the little interactions. She is trying to manage the situation as best as she can. the feminine leans towards harmony so I'm sure she is just trying to keep that for everyone involved. It doesn't necessarily mean anything more than that, although it could do. Biggest mistake men can make is trying to read each interaction and draw conclusions from them - 1. it might not be right, 2. it keeps us focused on and reactive to her and her moods
Need help on what steps to take to work on myself
Hi lads, about a month ago I found out my wife of 10 years is having an emotional affair. I’ve spent the last month having a nervous breakdown. I’ve been questioning myself why 24/7 and trying to monitor her every move. After research and reviewing channels like this, I have very much realized this is about shifting focus to working on self improvement and taking complete ownership of working on myself, I am starting to accept the marriage is done (for now) but the stage I’m struggling with is finding the right structured self improvement steps I can take right now. So far I’ve started to go to a gym and improved my diet, I’m a more active listener with my family and prioritize family over my work. Where I’m struggling is with socializing and meeting new friends. I think socializing would help me improve my communication skills and keep my mind focus on me, I’ve enjoyed sharing my life experiences with others and hearing their stories. Does anyone have any ideas on joining social groups or activities I could be doing for self improvement? Any ideas would be a massive help!

@Nick Curtis also check out my free eBook and the video training in the Classroom page as these will give you some tools and ideas to help you focus your growth and navigate your current situation. Regarding your specific question, there's a video specifically on Building a Life You Love, but in short - throw yourself into to trying new things, reconnect to former friends or interests or try something new - a meditation class, a martial art. Dan's idea of online groups is a great one. And yes, feel free to book a call if you want to ask anything about the coaching program I offer.

Welcome new members
Hi all, I've been pleased to welcome a few new members into the community over the past few days. If you are new here, or haven't yet posted an introduction, please do so. We are building a supportive community where you can share your wins and ask questions. Working to save a marriage, especially when your wife has said she is done, is about the hardest thing a man can do. Doing it alone is almost impossible, so use the community and please tag me if you have specific questions of me. And again, a reminder I go live weekly, just check out the 'Calendar' tab at the top of the page for details - usually a Thursday but this week a Saturday. And finally, if you would like to explore whether you'd be a fit for my Marriage Recovery Program, which comes with The Marriage Recovery Course - a clear roadmap to working on your growth, addressing what led to your wife checking out and then reattracting her and building a new stronger marriage - with twice weekly coaching calls and 1:1 coaching with me, book your free Marriage Strategy Call here: https://calendly.com/mark-markcoxcoaching/marriage-strategy-call And for more details on coaching programs, previous free training recordings and my free eBook - 15 key Shifts to Stop Divorce - visit the 'Classroom page at the top of the page.
