The Truth About Happiness and Achievement.
Stoics call it Hedonic treadmill. The monks call it attachment, the mystics call it a hunger. But without continued practice of seeking success , we will never grow. https://youtu.be/ngZTTC2V7qg?si=R_L8jJInSoYzOYPl

Perhaps the 'truth' is that the hedonic treadmill only becomes a trap when we seek success to complete ourselves. If we shift the perspective to seeing achievement as a form of self-expression rather than self-validation, the hunger changes from a painful attachment to a joyful expansion. We aren't running to get somewhere else; we’re running because we were built to move. How do you all stay hungry for success without losing your inner peace?

@Nick Coppola We often treat ourselves like a means to an end, but as you said, we are the 'project' itself. When the target keeps moving, we’re just on a treadmill. How do you personally catch yourself when you realize you’re focusing too much on the outcome and not enough on who you’re becoming in the process?
Tuesday Leadership Reflection — Lead Yourself First
Leadership doesn’t begin with a title. It begins in the quiet moments— When no one is watching. When excuses are easy. When discipline is optional. Great leaders don’t wait for motivation. They honor commitments to themselves first. That’s self-leadership—and everything else follows. Today, ask yourself: What standard am I setting by how I show up right now? Aslam

@Aslam Khatri . It’s a powerful reminder that our public impact is only as strong as our private discipline. Self leadership is where the real foundation is built, and it starts with those small, quiet choices we make every single day. Setting a higher standard for myself starting right now.

@Jonathon Vogel Such a classic Maxwell principle. I love the focus on 'stewardship' first, it’s hard to influence others if we aren't effectively managing our own habits and responsibilities. Leading by example really is the only way to build a foundation of trust in a group like this. Thanks for bringing that up.
🚀 Monday Check-in: Closing the "Growth Gap" Together
Happy Monday, family! I was reflecting on what @Aslam Khatri mentioned about "lifting each other up" and the incredible energy all our new members have brought in lately. In my daily work helping creators streamline their behind-the-scenes, I’ve noticed a common pattern: we often get stuck in the "Gap" because we’re trying to do everything at once. To help us stay "practical and steady" (shoutout to @Andi Vega ), I wanted to see how we can all protect our energy this week. @Jonathan Vogel, I love your idea of "watering seeds," and @Scott Mccall , your focus on "steady consistency" is so key. Whether you’re an artist like @Kate Bullock a community builder like @Silla Jonsdottir , or scaling something new like @Catherine Beler, we all have "noise" that gets in the way of our growth. What is ONE "Growth" task you are prioritizing this week, and ONE "Noise" task you’re trying to spend less energy on?

@Al Imran That is a game changing perspective .It’s so easy to get caught up in the productive procrastination of polishing things that don't actually move the needle. Shifting the focus to real consequences for others adds a layer of accountability that forces you to prioritize impact over comfort. Thanks for sharing that filter.I'm definitely going to use that today.
