Free .nim names for builders: code HIVE80
Hive (https://hive.heylogram.com) is a shop window for Nimiq projects. Every .nim name is a cell: it opens the project’s site and shows its visitors and users. To fill the window, the first 80 builders get a free .nim name: 1. Open Pigeon (https://pigeon.heylogram.com) in Nimiq Pay 2. Type a name with 5 or more letters 3. Enter the gift code HIVE80 You only sign a 1 luna transaction. The name is yours for good. Then link the site you already have (see the picture) and your project shows up in the window. The code works until Nov 11. On a computer? You can also use the Heylogram Wallet extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/heylogram-wallet/khfghhlakeijakdnjkdicmfplhmgoedj

One more thing: you don’t have to shut your project down after the competition. I checked all 204 projects from Seasons 1 and 2: 32 of them no longer open. Upload your build to Hive as a .zip, keep your data in HiveDB, and your project keeps living under its own name. Free, no fee. Your work doesn’t have to go to waste. And in the Webboos browser, just type yourname.nim in the address bar and your site opens, no domain needed: https://webboos.heylogram.com
Pigeon update: every .nim name now has a home (site, shop, QR till)
Since the first post, Pigeon grew a second half. Every name you register in Pigeon now has a cell in Hive (https://hive.heylogram.com), and Pigeon's home screen opens it. What a name can do now: - Site and domain: upload a built site as a .zip or link your own server, then connect a domain you bought. The certificate comes by itself. - A shop: list products in signed settings. Buyers pay wallet to wallet, and the order turns "paid" only when the payment is seen on chain. - A QR till for the counter: type 12 NIM, show the QR, the customer scans it in Nimiq Pay, the screen turns green. Tested with a real payment on mainnet. - Tips, and a database with server-side field rules, so a fake score or a 6-star review is refused by the server. - Sub-names live inside the cell, and a player picks which name an app shows. On a computer, sign in with the Heylogram Wallet extension, or use the Webboos browser: type garura.nim in the address bar and the cell's site opens. It is open and usable right now, and it stays open after the competition. Hive and the QR till have no fees. A name costs a one-time payment, with no yearly rent, and it is yours for good. Money never passes through us. One name, one day: buying bread with it.

@Adeleke Khaleed I can give you a name to test with. You can connect a site to that name, and its users and site visits will show up in Hive. One more surprise: in the Webboos browser, the site opens directly with the name you got, so no extension and no domain to buy. You can build your project, deploy it, and in Webboos your site will come up under your name. You can also browse the names that are already in Hive: https://hive.heylogram.com
Pigeon: pay anyone on Nimiq by name
Paying someone on Nimiq means copying a 36-character address. Pigeon turns it into a name. Send NIM to pigeon.nim, tie a payment request to a link, or split a dinner bill into stamps that get a postmark as each friend pays. Names live on Nimiq itself: no contracts, public rules anyone can check, and the first valid registration on chain wins. Every person shows with their Nimiq Identicon, and a link that fakes a name is blocked. Try it in Nimiq Pay: https://pigeon.heylogram.com Video: https://youtu.be/gAgeB7Ck_w8 Open source (MIT): https://github.com/jakalijey/pigeon

@Jeremy Lee Hi Enrique, Jeremy pointed me to NNS under my Pigeon post, and I've read through it. Your work is really advanced. We hadn't heard of each other, and we didn't share everything on our side either. Two name registries on Nimiq would be a mistake, so I'd rather work together than compete. Honestly, I would be glad if the registry were kept by someone else, or by Nimiq itself, so we can focus on what we really build. I see that NNS already covers many items on my own roadmap. My bigger plan is Webboos, our browser: I want to gather names from different chains under one roof there, and people already use parts of it today. I believe extensions like .com hurt communities, and that's why I work around a browser. Community should be the lifeblood of all this. My goal is very real: people should be able to buy bread with what they hold. I also don't believe in waiting for perfection; a project doesn't need to be a cathedral before people can use it. Pigeon is live today with real NIM. Are you in the competition too? Either way, I'd love to talk about using one standard together.

🔥 The Reply-Guy Challenge is back for Cycle 3!
Throughout the entire competition, we're rewarding 4 builders every week with $25 USDC each for the value they bring to our community. That's $400 USDC in rewards for builders who go beyond working on their own Mini Apps and help others succeed too. Here's what counts: 💬 Helping on Skool: Answer questions, share useful feedback, and help other builders work through problems. 🧪 Testing Mini Apps: Keep an eye out for a new Skool channel dedicated to testing Mini Apps and helping builders improve. 🎙️ Showing up to Sip & Ship: Attend our weekly community calls, demo your Mini App, and participate in discussions. 🤝 Being an active community member: Contribute to meaningful conversations here and engage with @Nimiq and @miniappscomp on X. ℹ️ Quality and helpfulness matter most. We're not rewarding spam, generic comments, or engagement for the sake of engagement. We want to recognize the builders who genuinely help others test, improve, and ship their Mini Apps. Keep building, and don't forget to help the people building alongside you! 💪

Games! Finally a cycle where “I was testing my app” is a valid excuse for playing all night.
