@Alessandro Impusino You're not too shabby yourself! All the Muay Thai concepts are just really fresh in my mind rightn now because I have a Muay Thai fight next month. It's gonna be my 2nd one. Training very hard to dominate when the time comes

@Alessandro Impusino Thank you very much. I've learned that my biggest advantage as a fighter is my tactical knowledge. Over time I'm learning to think less and flow more, and let the techniques appear naturally. You need to make things you want to pull off automatic. In a fight there is 0 time for deliberation. Only the things you can do without thinking about actually work
HARD Sparring Day
Been training HARD this past week and but I've had 2 opponents pull out in the last week since the original pullout, that's 3 in total now. Now I know how Tom feels (cough** Jon Jones) Hard to stay hungry and motivated to fight when there's no destination in sight yet with a poster or anything. 3 weeks now until fight day anyway so we will see what we get given. Let me know what you guys think to the sparring, last round after 5 shark tank rounds - no rest for the wicked;)

my boy's conquering the shark tank like a chad
My first ever fight at 14 lost 4 to 2 ( point fighting)
I just found out a video of my first ever fight, I’m the guy in red and as you guy can see I got whooped, this is an old video and I have fixed all the mistakes I could find, but just in case I missed something let me know about it. So far I fixed: my stance and hand positioning, judo defense, I’m nowhere as scared when I fight nowedays, and I use a lot more angles. let me know if you spot anything else

@Alessandro Impusino Awesome, best of luck! I'm also fighting in about a month in the national open Muay Thai championship. I'm competing in Beginner's Muay Thai which has a bit of a different ruleset than ring (It's on a mat, and you can't knee or elbow the head or throw shots with 100% max power). Still quite tough tbh

@Alex Gonzalez Excellent. In that case, as long as you use it smartly and remain present and ready to defend, a sticky jab is a great tool to have in your arsenal, and definitely not a "mistake" as some coaches would instinctively say. As for what you said about the body shots being harder to find in sparring, I think everyone experiences that on some level. The bag doesn't hit back after all😂 Just experiment with different kinds of defense that fit a hands down style, like footwork, head movement, angles and proactive methods of defense like jabbing, and find out what works best for you. Izzy is a great fighter to study, and you can also take a look at Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones Jr. and The Prince Naseem Hamed

@Alex Gonzalez Also I just noticed your partner is wearing pink Crocs... Never seen anyone rock that in sparring before

Firstly, I wanna say this is very good for your first boxing sparring. Your stance and overall movements looked tailored to boxing. In both rounds almost every single one of the good combos you landed started with jabs. You would throw several jabs to make him back up and then follow up with right hands to the head or body. Use more of this setup against him because it clearly seems to work. When he's using the Philly shell to roll the right hand to the head try to step in deeper to catch the top of his head over the shoulder. Here's Shane Mosley doing it to counter Mayweather's Philly shell (Timestamp included): https://youtu.be/Yj3GM2L6nag?si=qoKCvT3UO-QuwtxL&t=318
