Show Up and Build. What's Your Focus This Week?
Hey PDU fam! Happy Monday. New week, let's get into it. Before you scroll past, drop below real quick: ➊ What skill or project are you working on this week? ➋ What are you planning to actually create or practice? ➌ How could what you are working on this week turn into income? Shoutout to everyone who dropped their update Friday 👇 @Kimberly Hubbard Muhammad catching up is still showing up. This week pick one thing from the RTB content and take action on it. What is it going to be? @Ruth B. two wedding inquiries, invoices sent, styled shoot prep, and digital product test phase on the 27th. You are moving with real intention. This week is about enjoying your family time and coming back ready to launch. What does that test phase look like? @Tronda Dixon from overwhelmed to clarity in one week is a real shift. This week keep building on that plan you mentioned. What is the one CRM piece you are locking in this week? @Sasha Castle last minute centerpiece executed, draping practice done, site visit for the May 26th event in progress, and a van in the works. You are building your whole operation piece by piece. This week what does the site visit tell you about what you need to prepare? @Shonda Mayo baroque draping practice AND CRM automation testing in the same week. Skill and systems together is exactly the right combination. This week keep going on both. Where do you want to be with the automation by Friday? @Lucy Mireles quinceañera setup, Atlanta class, premium backdrop practiced and executed the next day. You put what you learned straight into action and it went smoothly. This week when that fabric roll arrives, what are you going to practice first? @Nicole King prepped ahead of schedule, practicing recreating designs, and mentally preparing for Saturday. That is a professional approach. How did the event go? Tell us all about it.

@Areeba - Posh Community Manager Thank you
I declined an offer
Hey Fam ! I just wanted to share that I had to turn down the opportunity to decorate the 60th birthday party. I was really excited about it, but the amount of work and rentals she wanted didn’t align with the budget she had in mind. She was asking for three backdrops, a dessert table setup, 40 chairs, and the serpentine table, and was looking to spend around $1,000–$1,500. Based on everything she requested, I provided an estimate of about $4,600–$6,500, give or take, to properly cover the rentals, materials, setup, and the overall look she wanted. I always want to make sure my work is done at a high standard, and at her budget I would have ended up spending much more out of pocket just to make it look the way it should. As much as I would have loved to do it, I had to stand firm on my pricing and respectfully decline.

Why I’m Never Teaching Large Draping Classes Again…
Something happened inside my last workshop… and it made me rethink everything. I saw the growth. I saw the confidence. But I also saw exactly where people are still getting stuck, and why some aren’t getting the results they should. And it has nothing to do with talent. Tonight, I’m breaking it all down inside Beyond The Backdrop. What’s working. What’s not. And why I’m seriously reconsidering how I teach moving forward. If you’re in this community and you’re serious about growing, you need to be on this live. 🕗 8PM EST 👉 https://www.facebook.com/events/1266821501445332 Don’t catch the replay. Be there live.
