Make sure they make Rockwool that thick before you frame out. I think it only comes for 2x4 walls but I've certainly been wrong before. As far as the Vevor heater, I just finished my build using their 9kW heater and would certainly recommend it. The wire connections seem a little light for 4ga wire but I had a 70ft run to my breaker so I had to size up. The controller works but it's unsightly and poorly translated (button text). I'd been putting off my build and saving for a $3k heater until the Vevor unit came across my radar. At $180 w/ the controller I had no excuse but to get to building! Still saving for the Finnelo Himalaya but I've got a great sauna to use while I save. Good luck with your build!

Before we get into lessons, language, or techniques, I wanted to start here—with a new simple introduction. This short video explains why Thermaculture exists, what it’s pointing toward, and what this Skool is really for. Thermaculture isn’t about performing sauna culture or chasing some ideal of authenticity. It’s about translation—understanding how humans have used heat, cold, rest, and contrast for thousands of years, and learning how to practice that wisdom where you actually live. If sauna has ever felt like more than a habit to you— If you’ve sensed that it reliably changes your state in a way that’s hard to explain— You’re in the right place. Watch the video when you have a quiet moment. No rush. Then, if you’re up for it, drop a comment below and share: What first drew you to sauna—or what made it start to feel like something more than just heat? I’m really glad you’re here. —John

First sauna experience was ideal, family cabin in the UP with a woodfired stove for immense amounts of loyly. Enjoyed it so much I built my own in my home! Prepping the cold plunge space now. Thermal cycling feels like tricking your brain into doing its own drugs! It's a legitimate use of the term bio-hack and learning more about how humans have harnessed its power for centuries is really interesting and grounding. Makes me feel more human. I'm really looking forward to learning more with you!

I'm a sauna and cold plunge enthusiast and entrepreneur. I built my home's thermal suite including a Finnish sauna and cold plunge. Thrilled to learn!
