@Michael Cooper poor Emily! She's brilliant though, it wouldn't be happening without her

@Michael Cooper still hoping for construction to start this calendar year. Dependent on a few pieces falling into place.
North Berwick - Local Place Plan
If you have not seen this already - here was the local place plan done in 2024 Summary The plan sets a community-led vision for how North Berwick should grow and improve, focusing on housing, transport, environment, economy, and community facilities. Key points: - Sports & Leisure – urgent need for more indoor sports space, better facilities for youth and active lifestyles. - Green Spaces – protect existing parks, enhance biodiversity, and support community gardening (e.g., North Berwick in Bloom). - Connectivity – improve safe walking/cycling routes, reduce congestion, and enhance public transport. - Housing & Infrastructure – ensure new developments are well-integrated, affordable, and supported by services. - Community Hubs – support multipurpose facilities that combine sport, culture, arts, and social spaces for all ages. See PDF for more details Drop your thoughts below in the comments if you read this

@Nick McCashin yeah the field. Strong suspicion that ELC wants to turn it into affordable housing. I'm all for affordable housing in NB (have delivered hundreds of units across Edinburgh and Fife) but we need to be 100% sure NBHS does not need the land for sports facilities etc as the school will be forever landlocked once that parcel is developed.

Would love a good play park on Elcho Green. Not to harp on too much about NZ, but a play park and skate park at the beach in Browns Bay in Auckland made me kids very happy. https://maps.app.goo.gl/rZwz4GxPtfwFKFJJ7?g_st=ac

@Gavin Macgregor yes, was just talking to someone about that yesterday. No brunch culture in Scotland! First day we were back in NZ it was straight to a cafe for brunch!
