March 26, 2025 - Life Group Recap
Super solid sesh today. We talked about a podcast on the "quantum mechanics of prayer". I'll link it below for anyone who wants to check it out. Spotify-Prayer podcast We also talked about a common theme either not having enough time for God or the struggle of being distracted all the time. I use a device called "brick" to help with this. I currently have all my social media and entertainment apps restricted like Netflix, Youtube, and Instagram. I use the device to lock the apps then I give it to a friend who holds if to me to make sure that the apps stay locked. I have found it is so much easier to communicate with God when the distractions are silenced. I'll link that too so y'all can check it out if you're interested. Brick

Humans and the essence of problems
This is a lesson I learned from a current mentor of mine. Lets jump straight into it. As humans we have three facets of our being where PROBLEMS reside. - We have the MIND - We have the BODY - We have the SPIRIT Let's look at the typical way our society approaches these problems. We have specialists in the mental (psychologists). We have specialists in the body (doctors). we have specialists in the spirit (pastors/priests). Say an individual has some sort of illness where they are constantly low of energy. The psychologist will look for the problem in the mind, like a mental disorder. A doctor will look for the problem within the body, like a failing organ. A pastor will look for the problem within the spirit, like curses or demonic attack. Which one of these approaches is right and which one of these approaches is wrong? It's a trick question. As Christians following Jesus Christ, we can be prone to solving all our problems through the spirit. Let us not forget that God created all things, including medicine, workout routines, diets, meditation practices, and hydration. He created the components, requirements, and maintenance techniques that our bodies (aka the temple) need. Let us be a generation of Christ followers who embraces this holistic approach to living a healthy and Godly life. Let's use the body to glorify the mind and spirit, the spirit to glorify the mind and body, and the mind to glorify the body and spirit. Three in one, all coming together to point glory towards our savior Jesus Christ. I want to hear from you all. What is a problem you are experiencing? Body of Christ step in, and lets here some advice and suggestions from your own personal lives. Let us encourage each other, build each other up, help each other, and pray for each other as the early church did. I put this^ into to ChatGPT and got this cool looking picture

@Gage Kirschner Bro thank you. That’s a perfect reminder. ā€œGod I give my time to you. Orchestrate my time today to serve your purpose for my lifeā€.

@Lucas Grutzmacher I recently bought a device called ā€œbrickā€. It locks apps that I choose only giving me access once I tap the brick again. I locked all social media and gave the device to a friend. I have felt so much better during this past week not having social media. Try out ā€œbrickā€.
The Message is YOU!
2 Corinthians 3:3 ā€œYou show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human heartsā€. Let your lips be a portal for the words inscribed on your heart by the Holy Spirit. When you speak the message written on your heart, you will receive power and speak with authority. The power of life and death is in the tongue. Let the message written on the tablets of your heart cut through death and bring forth abundant life.

The Message is YOU!
Overthinking and where it leads
In 1 Chronicles 19, the Ammonites are receiving a peace offering from King David. The intentions behind the gesture were good hearted. However, the new king of the Ammonites and his council over thought this simple gesture, assuming that there must be some secret agenda with the message. They humiliate the messengers and send them away, only then realizing their folly. After realizing that they may have offending King David, they got their armies ready and paid other kings to join in the battle, which in the end they lost. Perception is so powerful. I was telling a friend the other day that sometimes we make an issue out of something that we don't need to make an issue out of. For example, if you believe you are busy, you are busy. If you believe you are in control, then you are in control. In the Ammonites case, if you believe you are threatened, then you are threatened. Their own assumption of reality became reality. How often do we "think" ourselves into a problem? Love you all. Have a good day!
God teaching me about business
God told me something funny during my quiet time today. He said ā€œI created the learning curveā€. I was trying to find a shortcut to gaining all the knowledge I need for a business goal as fast as possible. I was hoping that God would give me the knowledge for free (for no hard work or effort). Then God told me that ā¬†ļø. I realized the learning curve is a part of Gods design and that I am thankful for it. It the price I get to pay for the knowledge I want to acquire and it is the price others won’t pay to get where I want to go. This is one of God’s great relational games he loves to play with us in order to deepen our relationship with Him. Proverbs 25:2 - ā€œIt is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of a king to discover a matterā€ Amen šŸ™
