Why You Stay Stuck in Self-Destruction
This is a longer post gentlemen, but I think it's critical to realize this. Most men think they’re stuck because they’re lazy, broken, or just don’t want it bad enough. But the truth is: Your brain is wired to keep you in whatever feels familiar, even if it’s destroying you. This is called homeostasis, the tendency of your mind and body to cling to the known. Your nervous system literally sees change as a threat. So even if your habits are toxic… Even if you hate the results you’re getting… Your subconscious will pull you back to what it recognizes. That’s why you keep going back to the same: – Late nights scrolling – Skipped workouts – Shitty food – Negative self-talk Not because you want to fail, but because your brain is protecting the status quo. So, how do you break this cycle? ✅ Awareness: Start catching the patterns in real time instead of pretending they’re random. ✅ Interruptions: Do one thing differently. Go for a walk when you’d usually scroll. Journal when you’d usually vent. ✅ Repetition: Your mind won’t trust a new pattern after one try. It needs reps to believe it’s safe. This is why most men never change. They look for a new hack, a new diet, a new routine, but they never address the real problem: you can’t build a new life while clinging to an old identity. Reflection: Where in your life are you letting familiarity keep you small? Drop a comment below with one pattern you’re committed to interrupting this week.

I like the interruptions tip - or habit replacement. You could also do habit stacking which makes it easier to learn a new habit. Like brushing your teeth after your evening meal, making you not want to have a sweet treat, for example.

@Cody Giroux Oh yeah, it's a must read!
Are You Carrying Dead Weight?
Cut the Noise. Look at your routine. Look at your habits. Look at your mindset. What are you still carrying that’s slowing you down? We all have it, dead weight. Maybe it’s endless scrolling. Maybe it’s “just one drink.” Maybe it’s some half-ass story about why you’re not where you want to be. You don’t need to fix everything today. You just need to cut one thing that’s dragging you down. You’ll move lighter. Think clearer. Act sharper. Comment below with that one dead weight habit you’re cutting this week.

I've actually recently decided to sell one of my businesses. It seems like a crazy decision because it pays my monthly salary and covers my bills, but deep down I know I need the focus and energy to focus on other areas that will have a much greater return.

@Cody Giroux Will do for sure, thanks!🔥
Saturday Morning Stoa – Tomorrow at 9AM PST
Don’t forget, tomorrow morning we’re gathering again for our weekly Saturday Morning Stoa. This is your time to reset, reflect, and reconnect with the principles that keep us grounded and moving forward with purpose. We’ll be checking in on last week’s challenge and diving into a fresh lesson that builds on one of the most misunderstood aspects of Stoicism, something even many modern “Stoics” get wrong. Trust me, this one might just flip your perspective. Join us in the Classroom at 9AM PST sharp. Bring a coffee, bring your insights, and bring your commitment to growth. See you in the Stoa.

Strength Through Stillness - Stoic Sunday
Most men are constantly chasing, more success, more validation, more distractions. But a Stoic man knows that true power comes from stillness, reflection, and self-mastery. Take a moment today to pause and ask yourself: 1. Are my actions aligned with my purpose? 1. Am I reacting to life, or intentionally shaping it? A sharp mind requires reflection. A disciplined man makes time for it. Which do you struggle with more?

I do both of these on a regular basis but it's keeping it consistent which is the challenge for me.

🚩Red Flags vs. ✅️Green Flags
Choosing the right woman isn’t about luck, it’s about knowing what to look for and having the discipline to walk away from the wrong ones. 🚩 Red Flags – The Women to Avoid: ❌ Constant drama & emotional instability ❌ Lacks accountability & blames others for everything ❌ Disrespects your time, boundaries, or mission ❌ Seeks validation from social media & outside attention ❌ Has no drive for personal growth ✅ Green Flags – The High-Value Woman: ✅️ Emotionally mature & communicates with respect ✅️ Supports your goals & mission instead of distracting you from them ✅️ Brings peace, not chaos, into your life ✅️ Loyal & consistent—her actions match her words ✅️ Committed to growth—physically, mentally, and emotionally A high-value woman adds to your life, not subtracts from it. The real question is, do you have the discipline to walk away from red flags and only entertain women who meet your standards? I've dated every single red flag on this list so you don't have to 😅. Now they may have been fun for the short term but all of them led to the same place. Unnecessary stress and turning my calm into chaos. Let me know of any other red flags or green flags you’ve experienced.

My wife doesn't even have Instagram. I think that just shows she's a keeper 🤣

@Cody Giroux Yes me too! It's good that you can reset the algorithm if your not happy with what it's pushing out to you now.
