The Body Check-In Where do you hold tension today? Locate the area. Head? Back? Shoulders? Wherever it is, focus your attention there. Take a deep breath, and exhale into that area. Do this three times Slowly Focusing your awareness On where your tension is. Breathe loose, relaxed, calm energy Into that area As you focus peacefully and effortlessly Release.

It’s so strange how tense the body can be without realizing!! I THOUGHT I was at least “neutral” but I took a deep breath and released and wow! The tension my body was just “holding”… my chest and core…was surprising. Definitely adding some “conscious” breaths to my day! ❤️

It’s morning and I’m sketching out the days activities. I can hear the “Oh, well I should also…” in my head as I’m lining up the schedule. So, for at least today, I’m actively changing that. I’m consciously canceling the should and replacing it with a decision. Either I AM… or I AM NOT. I realize just saying it that the “should” USUALLY means I’m stretching myself into adding people, projects, or activities to my day that I am not ready to be fully present for in some way. It’s not from a place if “oh it would be great if” or “I’d love to set aside time for” but usually with guilt, and usually with the implication that I haven’t packed the day with “enough.” So at least for today (and hopefully more going forward!) I’m going to be conscious in choosing what I do and who I give my energy to… especially when I notice thinking “well, I really SHOULD….”❤️
