Hi Brandon, I'll kick start! Great question and in order to answer, I need some more details from you. 1. Have you thought about the type of client (person or industry) that you want to work with? 2. If yes, do you think they're spending their time predominantly on YT? 3. What would you talk about on your channel? Depending on those answers, YT might be the place for you. In general, you want your presence to be primarily where your future clients are most likely to see you. AKA, you don't want to be shouting into a black hole. As a YouTuber myself, YT is incredible for searchability. A video you post today can still be bringing you leads two years from now, which isn't true of a LinkedIn post or an Instagram story that scrolls by in a day. But it's also usually a slow burn out of the gate. The algorithm rewards consistency and volume, so you can be filming and editing for weeks before it puts you in front of anyone who isn't already looking for you. I'd treat YouTube as something you layer in once you've landed a couple of clients and have real content to pull from, not as the on-ramp itself. But again, totally depends on your answers to the three questions above!
