Let's Talk Branding: What Makes People Choose Your Brand?
One thing I've noticed with a lot of clothing brands is that people spend months perfecting the product but only a few hours thinking about the brand. A good logo isn't your brand. A nice website isn't your brand. Your brand is the story, the feeling, and the reason someone chooses your hoodie over 100 others that look similar. I'm curious what do you think is the hardest part of branding a clothing business? - Finding a unique identity? - Standing out in a crowded market? - Building trust? - Creating a website that actually converts? Also, if anyone here is still in the early stages and needs help with branding or a website, a friend of mine is currently offering both completely free to build her portfolio. I thought I'd mention it because it could genuinely help someone who's just getting started. If you're interested, just comment below or send me a DM and I'll connect you. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on branding because I think it's one of the biggest factors that separates brands people remember from brands people scroll past.

So my brand is built around a narrative arc/documentary style ....so getting the premium priced shirts on bodies has been the hardest part of the process. The observational content reaches well over 30k ppl in one month and roughly 800 profile visits.... but that lack of trust due to being such a young brand I feel is causing some friction in profile view to link click/dm conversion.

Ya I would point towards more social proof... that would assist in the convincing of the product as well. I am in Talca, Chile so the market is different than that in North America for sure.... but with that being said streetwear is quite popular in Chile. Additionally Chileans are very prideful, so when the product hits I feel the foundation I have layed will most definitely play its part. Furthermore being so locally grounded in Talca as opposed to the Capital of Chile Santiago, will really set the identity apart from other streetwear brands. So I just feel it's just a much slower growth model.

BRAND NAME: Talca Street ITEMS: T SHIRTS (currently) Only been at it for 3 months PHASE 1 30-90 DAY GOAL: continue with brand/identity building/storytelling Biggest challenge has been building trust with such little sales. Converting profile views to link clicks/conversion.
Marketing Lesson 💎
Most clothing brands sell products. The brands that scale sell significance. When we say the 500 DEGREES Collection will never be restocked, we’re not just selling a shirt—we’re creating scarcity, exclusivity, and a moment in time. People don’t just buy fabric. They buy stories. They buy milestones. They buy things they believe will matter later. That’s why anniversary collections, limited releases, and one-time drops perform so well when done authentically. The goal isn’t to trick people into buying. The goal is to give people the opportunity to own a piece of your brand’s history. Ask yourself: What makes your next release memorable enough that people will wish they bought it years from now?

I am Erik, I have a creative urge to fill and am introducing a narrative arc brand of streetwear clothing to Chile. Born in observations of Talca.
