Weekly update and vote for new mindfulness session time
Hi everyone, hope you are having a lovely Tuesday! I am off to Merimbula shortly because tomorrow I am running some Drum sessions for an anti-Vaping day for indigenous youth. Should be fun. It seems like Sunday morning is not a great time for Mindfulness sessions as nobody is actually turning up... I can't do it this Sunday morning either as I will be camping at our new block and we have no mobile reception there. I have put a poll below with some options so please put your vote in. Below is also some information about upcoming events in 2026: 21March, I will be joining two friends to holder for our mini retreat in Canberra involving mindful drumming, movement and a sound bath: https://www.facebook.com/share/1EfR6rbmH1/?mibextid=wwXIfr 19th to 21st of June, I will be holding a drum making workshop for the winter solstice near Braidwood: https://kathkovac.wixsite.com/website/drum-making-workshop I am still waiting to hear back about hiring the church hall in Gunning for our monthly women's circle. I will let you know. I also am happy to hold a monthly virtual circle so please let me know if you are keen on this and we can sort out a time. Have a wonderful week and let us all know what you are doing to boost your mood this week! 😊

@Kath Kovac the self admin is an injection the day after chemo that stimulates the bone marrow to make and release white blood cells. To reduce chance of dangerous infections as the chemo basically kills off the white cells already in the blood. The chemo itself is an infusion in the recliner chair at hospital. Its incredibly toxic and the nurses wear an impressive amount of ppe. You are right, not something possible to do at home, in my case anyway.

@Jules Baker i thought the exact same thing. I guess the lifetime risks over decades of occupational exposure would be very serious though too.
Welcome Erica πŸ’–
A belated welcome to our newest member @Erica Kenna I have been meaning to remember to welcome you Erica - my apologies! I met Erica through the Yass Valley Concert Band where she plays a mean clarinet. We also have played percussion together in Camberra group Dancing Room Only. πŸͺ˜

Thank you Kath and Jules. I am looking forward to coming to an activity some time. I am getting medical treatment at the moment so taking it easy! But some of these activities sound quite fun so looking forward to seeing you soon.
Postpone tonight by 30 minutes
I am afraid I am a bit stuck at the minute and I won't be able to start our Wednesday evening cuppa until 7:30 pm. See you then

Thanks for joining us! Please introduce yourself in the comments below, and share a photo of something that boosts your mood πŸ’— Here's my intro: Hi, I'm Kath. My photo shows one of my favourite times of the week - my Monday night concert band rehearsal, where I get to bang the timpani drums!

Hi Mood Boost Community. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and thanks everyone for sharing what boosts your mood. Here is a photo of my dam and what really boosts my mood about it is the sound of frogs every night. I couldn't hear any frogs this arvo but there seemed to be plenty of tadpoles swimming around.
