Does the thought of the New Year bring optimism or dread?
For me, it is a bit of dread. Starting over from scratch. However, the hope, delight, and wonder overpower those thoughts. I feel blessed and excited for the New Year.

It's optimism for the delight of a new year and the opportunity this next year brings. It is a blessing we get to experience every 365 days or 365.25 days.
Role call
What are you working on? What are your plans for your business for the next 8 weeks? This will be fun to see what fun things you have planned, or what irritating things you have planned.

Starting to think of layers in the business as reusable systems with an AI first lens. Documenting these layers to develop AI prompts connecting these with AI playbooks that could be used to augment each system.
She slapped me.
Not literally. She asked me when I take time off for me? I said not often. She said, but that is what you tell others to do. Ouch! She was right. She caught me. I was not permitting myself to step away from my business just for me. I step away for family obligations, for vacations, or long weekends. But not to do something for just me. It did feel like a slap in the face. However, I am grateful. So, I set up a facial appointment. And a lunch appointment with a friend. Sometimes, the truth stings yet, I needed to hear it. How about you? What are you doing to take care of yourself?

I will take days off at work with the intention of not having a plan. When the day comes I just take the day where it goes. It's a bit freeing.

Getting my feet into the sand at the beach in Niantic for some fresh air, grounding, sunshine (while it's here in the Northeast, and some negative ions.

Inspired by Walt Disney: “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” Overthinking is a form of devotion. We map every route, weigh every ripple. But let’s be honest: at some point, that lovingly curated plan becomes a cocoon. This is your invitation to start—softly, imperfectly, gently—but start. Because the only way to meet the future… is to move toward it. 1. Declare War on Over-Preparation (With Kindness)Take your beautiful, complicated plan and say: “Thank you, but we’re starting now.” One action. One step. One ripple, 2. Set a 12-Minute “Micro Boldness” Timer. Start the thing for 12 minutes. That’s it. Email the person. Outline the idea. Courage doesn’t have to last long—it just has to start. 3. Brag to a Plant. Tell someone you trust (like your snake plant) that you did the scary thing. Watch it nod supportively. You did good

We start by starting. This is just so simple. Thank you for sharing this idea.
