2nd brain question...
I've watched some of Nate's and other's 2nd brain videos and currently going through the 2+ hr AI OS course. The thing I'm struggling with is how you access the information outside of Claude. I believe Nate might be using Obsidian...? He talks about bringing in his YT transcripts and other knowledge data to have it for context but not clear how that part works. If there are other people just starting to build their 2nd brains and want to connect, would love to chat and bounce ideas off others.

@Muhammad Haris I just downloaded Obsidian...šŸ˜€. I knew this was where it was headed, just needed the nudge!

@Shuja Humayun Honestly that seems to be the trend from what I've seen. I think it's in Nate's AI OS course he talked about making the decision to pivot from n8n to exclusively claude code... but there is always something new on the horizon. I guess it depends on why you are learning n8n - is it to provide services as a business, for personal use, etc... I'm sure there are still a ton of people using n8n and use cases don't have to be with the newest, shiniest tools if they get the job done.
More than Claude Pro, less than Claude Max...
Is anyone else feel like Goldilocks, I definitely could be doing more than the Claude Pro subscription allows in claude code but can't see myself justifying going all the way to Max. I've seen some people talk about having 2 Claude subscriptions but know that is explicitly against policy, just not sure if it's enforce. You can enable usage credits but not sure how cost efficient that is... Is Claude telling me I should start using codex and just split the coding...? Any have experience in this middle ground?

@Makyla Kesler I agree!
Weekly usage dropped...?
Anyone else notice their weekly usage drop. I was at ~80% and now I see I'm at 54%... Not complaining just curious!

@Wayne Hall I don't believe so, I just happened to have check it since I received the 75% warning.

I saw comments that it was from outages/issues on Thursday. I now see that my usage is back to 0 - unfortunately it was going to reset on Saturday morning.
Claude Code vs Codex
Would love to get a gauge as to why people in the community have chosen either Claude code or codex and why? Or are you using both?

Building triage skills
I have a bad habit of accumulating a long list of YT videos I want to watch but never do or when I watch a video, it turns out to be intro topics or stuff I already have. To help with this, I build 2 triage skills, one for second brain/pkms and one for my claude setup. Each skill takes a URL or video transcript and gives me the following; - a summary of the content - any gaps it identified in my current system - should I watch/read it or not The special sauce is that I have markdown documents that I have created with Claude/Notion or that those systems create themselves when I build something so the prompts have the context from the project files. When I ask it for a gap, it actually knows what I've built (or have in process). So far, it seems to be working well - flagging areas or concepts that are worth reviewing (even saying this not be a good fit for your system but something to think about...). I recently updated the claude triage skill to also point out use cases that would be good to build. This came from me watching a video on claude cowork that didn't have anything new but they built out a use case for having cowork process your CC statements.

@Adrien De Candia After some trial and error I've found that when building a new app what works best for me is doing the ruminating and design in claude ai (with an explicit don't write the spec until I tell you to). When I'm happy with it, I ask claude ai to write the spec and provide a handoff prompt (basically what I tell claude code to do). One thing I've also asked claude ai to do is provide a test plan (have also started to experiment with claude code doing more testing before I even look) After I'm done with the build and test in claude code, I ask it to update the claude code files and create an app build summary. If I'm going to do another round of the app (such as enhancements), I attach the build summary to a new claude ai chat and continue... I've found this helps me cut down on usage (just the Pro plan) but does require some manual shuffling of files.

@Richard Martin ha, currently I like to think of it as refactoring just in time, when the file or files start to get big, have a discussion with claude or how to handle this (keep it big, linked files, etc...). This was how I went from projects.md to projects.md + standard.md
