i own a historic restaurant in nyc. 193 years old. i jumped in 14 years ago to own it so it doesn't close. i just wanted to help. so i'm not a bartender or chef. so can't provide value for that skill. lol. I'd like to help America's oldest neighborhood restaurants as well. I'm working hard to do all the traditional restaurant marketing stuff but i'm convinced we have to find a better way. A way to truly monetize our historic value so we create a new revenue stream unique to the oldest neighborhood restaurants. unless people will truly never value history enough to pay. unless it can be packaged in a way they'll pay for it. So my goal is to continue to find a new path (besides the hamster wheel race to the bottom of discount and freebie traditional restaurant marketing) . I'm experimenting on how i can learn to monetize our historic value. one unique way is by creating a private premium social club for nyc's oldest community tavern. Result i hope this offers for my restaurant is 1-drive deeper relationships, (if you pay you pay attention) 2-multiply revenue with a new unique revenue stream (social club dues), and 3-become more resilient because of the first two. For social club members the 3 values i hope to emphasize is 1-them being officially designated as a member of an exclusive private support community for nyc's oldest community tavern. Club name is "Neir's Tavern Ambassadors Club"- "A Social Club For Social Good' 2- quarterly or occasional subscription box (mail exclusive merch or gifts like mail ingredients to make a cocktail at home, mail out an exclusive craft beer, our social club brand shirt, etc) 3- the last value I'd like to emphasize is "Social good" - part of the dues goes to provide livable wages for our staff and provide meals for locals in need ) I hope to offer 3 membership levels for my restaurant social club. level 1- $197/yr- member pin, community access, welcome box with swag, 5 Meals donated in member's name level 2- $497/yr- level 1 plus - Name inscribed inside the restaurant for 1 year
