Used the elevator pitch and booked a client!
Hi everyone! I loved attending my first 6 figure sisterhood zoom call on Monday, it gave me a lot of inspiration and sparked some questions I had for myself. I used the elevator pitch as a way to market my postpartum doula services specifically to moms expecting their 2nd, 3rd, etc baby and received interest almost immediately! (Let me know your thoughts on the post and what I could do differently?)I went on to messaging the mama who was interested, set up a consult the same evening, and booked her on the spot. I really feel like I've found my niche, as a lot of doulas in my area do not offer help with siblings, and I feel super passionate about this kind of support. One thing that Lisa brought up on the zoom that I continued to think about, was how we should not offer services that make it hard to keep a set boundary or explain clearly. I think with sibling doula support, those lines can often become blurred between doula and childcare. I have parameters in place that make it clear that I am not to take over sole responsibility of siblings as I am in the home, but I am curious what others' thoughts are on this and what may be worth mentioning? Thank you!
