1. The /v/ in "give me' got cancelled because the song sings it this way: gimme gimme a man after midnight 🎶( Sorry, it was a joke. I don't really know. I want to say /v/ got cancelled because "m" is a consonant. But dose it mean believe me, love me, leave me, these /v/s can also get cancelled?) 2. To answer the question about can and could: My understanding is He can be persuasive means he's able to be persuasive. It's his ability to be persuasive. Whereas he could be persuasive means he is persuasive in certain scenario. I hope I'm not too late. Good day, Coach!
