Putting Jesus At The Center Of Our Health
Call me crazy but taste isn’t my main reason for food selection (if it were I’d be eating ice cream all day. Trust.) 🍦 I choose primarily God Grown Goods not just because of how they make ME feel, but how me feeling phenomenal makes OTHERS feel. Here me out: ➡️ How we health either can help or hurt people. It’s true. The health status of our bodies, minds, faith, and relationships impacts everyone we come in contact with. ➡️ We project outside what’s happening inside. So, eat for how you want to look? How’s that goal going for ya? 😉 Eat for how you want to treat people. Because love is the most powerful goal Jesus gave us. ✝️

Eat for the soul to fuel the life preserver we aim to be. Food turns into our beacon for the weary. Sorry my brain went straight to continued metaphors because I live off of them 😂 thank you for sharing this!

Health = Available. Not skinny.
I’m am convinced that Biblical physical wellness has way LESS to do with becoming the skinniest version of ourselves… …and way MORE to do with becoming the most AVAILABLE version of ourselves. Episode 7️⃣1️⃣ of the Healtheology Podcast digs into health giving us the capacity to be: 🩵Available to love 🩵Available to serve 🩵Available to show up with energy, patience, strength, and presence for the people God placed in front of us Because when your body constantly feels depleted, inflamed, exhausted, overstimulated, or neglected… everything feels harder than it needs to. This doesn’t mean we worship health. And it doesn’t mean we obsess over our bodies. 👉 It means we steward them. (steward = taking care of something that isn’t ours) ❌Not for vanity ❌Not to earn approval ❌Not to become “the fit friend” But for **capacity** Healthy to help. Not skinny to socialize 🤍 What’s your opinion on this?

Love the tagline. Healthy to help and not skinny to socialize.
Strength in Sore Spirit
I need to forgive myself for trying to please everyone but Him. Being part of making a difference doesn’t mean making everyone happy. But it sure makes it feel like failure when we don’t succeed. I know the truth that He doesn’t leave or forsake us, but I find it impossible to let go of feeling like a disappointment. Prayer: God engrave in me that I am not a failure and that you have purpose for this Child in me crying out for proof that I am capable of making a difference and glorifying the kingdom. Come help me feel stable on this shaking ground of past and current pain and control by others. I know whose I am, I am Yours; but then why does it hurt so bad? Psalm 119:105 will be my light right now. I pray in Your healing and guiding name, Amen 🙏 Any other prayers or guidance appreciated 🙏 thank you ❤️

Foreshadow guess it’s either referencing Eat Pray Love or childhood classic “on top of spaghetti”!! 😂

Ok now that I read it that makes sense. I guess that’s how foreshadows happen, just a pre idea 😂 I love though the intertwining. Do everything with Him in mind.
❓Pentecost Posture FAQ (temptations & habits)
Happy Monday, health seeking Christ followers! I put together a brief FAQ lesson for you in the Pentecost Posture Course. - It's a helpful reminder that the POINT of this program is that we WILL have temptations and we WILL veer off course...but that's what REAL LIFE of following Jesus is all about! - We commit, we fall, we acknowledge, we repent, we ask for help, we get back on the horse. So, check out the FAQ lesson the the Pentecost Posture Course on the Classroom tab. And then, leave a comment if you have any questions or revelations! Your feedback means the world to me. Bless y'al!

I have definitely done the come back again and again to an unknown power 😂 however I really appreciated this FAQ and I gained a lot of insight on it. I constantly spiral and I know I am learning but I also always question how to overcome addiction and patterns. I am currently 2 days clean and reading this information gives me a little more hope for the coming week alone. I was close to breaking that streak last night even but didn’t. That alone gives me clarity. Clean eating is my goal so that when it comes to Ignite week my giving up my vice should not be as excruciating as it was last season of fasting where it was a withdrawal and a wake up call. Love the values and tools of this group to keep me grounded and moving forward. Sorry for the length.

@Katie Hardy thank you so much for this. It makes sense and I appreciate the time you put behind helping and informing. I’m in my happiest when I’m with the church. It seems to keep me focused the best.
