Short presentation of myself.
Hi everyone, I'm Ejnar from Denmark, although I've been living in rural Thailand for the past 11 years. I am a retired social educator. I recently finished my first KDP book after several months of building not just the book, but an entire publishing workflow around it. The book is called Together We: Mythical Creatures, a coloring book designed to create meaningful shared moments between children and adults. I'm not interested in chasing quick wins or publishing hundreds of low-quality books. My goal is to build a long-term brand with books that people genuinely enjoy and come back to. I'm currently starting Book #2 in the series, which focuses on ancient civilizations, and I'm looking forward to learning more about marketing, branding, and sustainable publishing from this community. Looking forward to learning from all of you!

@Ejnar Jepsen Welcome, Ejnar! It's inspiring to see the thought and care you've put into building not only your first book but also a sustainable publishing workflow. Your focus on creating meaningful experiences for families and building a long-term brand is something I really respect. Wishing you great success with your Together We series, and I hope Book #2 on ancient civilizations is just as rewarding. What has been the biggest lesson you've learned so far from publishing your first KDP book?

@Ejnar Jepsen, that’s truly exciting congratulations on getting your first book live. Reaching that milestone is something many people dream about but never take the step to accomplish. I think it’s great that you’re approaching this with both confidence and humility; having that gut feeling while still being open to learning is often where the best ideas grow. It’s also encouraging to hear how finding Dave’s content and this community helped validate some of your own ideas. Sometimes discovering that others are walking a similar path can give us the motivation and perspective needed to keep moving forward. Everyone starts somewhere, and the fact that you’re already creating and putting your work out there is a meaningful step. What kind of book did you publish, and what inspired you to finally bring the idea to life?
Worth the purchase
I purchased Davide's two ebooks off Gumroad and am halfway through the one on content marketing. It's very helpful and I can already envision a lot of angles and approaches that would work for my books.

@Mah Chaudhry, I like that. Simple conversations with thoughtful questions can reveal a lot about someone. I’m curious to learn what makes you unique. What’s something people often overlook about you?

@Mah Chaudhry I actually don’t think that sounds ordinary or boring at all. Sometimes the most memorable moments in life aren’t the big, dramatic ones, but the small discoveries that make us stop and appreciate the world around us. The fact that seeing a vireo for the first time became a highlight tells me you have a sense of wonder and that you’re able to find joy in simple, beautiful moments and I think that’s a wonderful quality. I’d much rather spend time with someone who notices little things and appreciates them than someone who only chases grand experiences. What was it about seeing the vireo for the first time that made it such a special moment for you?
Hello together
Hello, I am new here and also published my first books that already made me first 4 figures. I am so happy about this and now trying to grow my TikTok to promote it more

@Lia Faceless, welcome to the community, and congratulations on publishing your first books! Reaching your first four figures is a wonderful milestone, and it's inspiring to see your hard work paying off. Wishing you continued success as you grow your TikTok and connect with more readers. What has been the most effective strategy you've found so far for promoting your books on TikTok?
Tiktok sudden drop to 0
Suddenly getting 0 views on Tiktok. 3 posts over the last 24 hours...any suggestions? My previous posts were getting between 150 to 2000 views. I've checked and the account is showing fine, no notifications of issues.

@Sherry Crowther, a sudden drop to zero views can definitely be frustrating, especially when your previous posts were consistently getting traction. If your account has no notifications or restrictions, it may be worth checking whether your videos are still appearing on your profile, testing a different type of content, and giving it 24–48 hours, since TikTok's distribution can occasionally be delayed. It's also a good idea to review whether anything changed recently, such as hashtags, captions, posting times, or video format. Hopefully it's just a temporary algorithm hiccup rather than an account issue. Has anyone else experienced this recently, and if so, what ended up fixing it for you?
Introduction
Hello, everyone. I'm Mah from the state of California, USA. I'm currently focused on side hustles that I can do from home such as self-publishing and faceless Youtube as I am unable to drive and my health issues make it hard to hold a 9 to 5 job. I don't spend any of my profits and am investing them into dividend stocks and etfs to replace my income.

@Mah Chaudhry Hi Mah, it's great to meet you. I really respect your determination to build multiple income streams despite the challenges you're facing. Reinvesting your profits into dividend stocks and ETFs instead of spending them shows a disciplined, long-term mindset that not everyone has. Self-publishing and faceless YouTube are both scalable paths that can compound over time with consistency. I'm looking forward to learning from your experiences and sharing ideas along the way. What has been the biggest lesson you've learned so far from building your side hustles?
