The to-do list that lied to you
Can I ask you something a little uncomfortable? How often does your to-do list ACTUALLY reflect what your day really looked like? Like... you planned to batch content, respond to DMs, and finally finish that offer outline. But what actually happened was: → A kid needed something → You remembered an email you forgot to send → You went down a rabbit hole fixing something that wasn't on the list → Somehow it's 3pm and you've eaten crackers for lunch The to-do list isn't lying because you're bad at planning. It's lying because it was never designed to account for your actual life. Something's coming to the community next week that I think is going to shift how you look at your days entirely. 👀 Not more planning. The opposite, actually. Stay tuned. ☕

Spam, cold DMs, and other sketchy things

OMG I look at all of these and I'm a yes...and... kind of person... - Planned activities. I'm a projector. I need to know my capacity so I can wrap my brain aroudn leaving my apartment. - Brunch or sleep in? BOTH! But if I hadto lean one way...Brunch. With mimosas. Preferably bottomless. 🤣 - Uhhhh maybe neither. I do like to go out but in very particular cirumstances for very particular reasons. Also I live in a 497 sqft studio. I'm not hosting. Lol - Again-- it depends. It kind of depends on where the creative energy is flowing? This weekend. Rest. 1000% because I've been going hard. But otherwise it depends - Ooooo honestly? Favorites. I feel like food is occasionally nostalgia! - Oh god this one is hard! Both! I LOVE a good road trip. One of my fave vacays was driving from Michigan back to seattle when I was moving back. We did a 5000 mile, 3.5 week U across the United States and it was a blast. But I love a logistically uncomplciated trip too so staycations are 👌🏻👌🏻

What’s your focus this December holiday week? For me, we’re actually kid-free until Christmas Eve, so it’s a balance of resting…and trying to take as much advantage of the free time to dive deep into my to-do list as much as possible! (…And maybe a bit of sitting in my son’s room missing him 😭)

I feel like you hit the nail on the head for how I'm feeling...a balance of resting and productivity! I have literally 4 more calls with my day job until I'm free, which is kind of amazing and I'm feeling great making the transition, but perhaps it's the control freak in me that wants to make sure I don't lose momentum and let anything fall through the cracks!
