Coming but might bounce between this group and another simultaneous one depending on where bubba goes in the playground 🙂
Nutrition!
Unfortunately I wasn’t crunchy until after starting solids with my first born & now I have myself a picky 3 year old with eczema & sensitivities to egg. Does anyone know of someone Brisbane or Ipswich way that would be able to help with gut health or eating advice🥲 managed to get bone broth drinks in her but I feel like the histamine makes her eczema worse. Thanks!

Hi Emily, I just wanted to share that our 3yo used to have the egg sensitivity when she was younger but grew out of it and I suspect it happened because I ate ALOT of eggs during my pregnancy and even in the early days of breastfeeding as it was coning through my milk. When she started eating solids we used to test the sensitivity occasionally whenever egg was on the dining table by rubbing a small piece around her lip to see if her skin would go red (which it would but would subside around 10-15 mins later) When we eventually noticed the skin didn't turn red in response to that, we gradually introduced it into her diet starting with a batch of home made muffins and slowly progressed it into her having a small piece of ours when we were having some. (I started eating egg again after she was weaned at 2). That's just what worked for us. Fortunately, ours eats pretty well and is only picky from time to time.
Happy Monday! 🫶🏼
Good morning everyone, I just wanted to say a proper welcome and thank you for being here. It honestly means a lot that so many of you felt aligned with this idea and decided to join. I would love to get things started with our first meet ups this week. We have members spread all around Brisbane so would love to do a North Brisbane meet up and South Brisbane. Im not too familiar with good playgrounds/parks around Northside so if anyone has any good suggestions please drop a comment below ⬇️ Once the locations are sorted I'll pop the meet up dates and times in the calendar (should be later today) 🤍

Underwood park has a storytime at 9.30am followed by a sensory play tray session under the big tree. I used to take miss 3 there until I found another homeschool group who meets Thursday mornings at Alexander Clarke park. Afterwards at around 2.30 pm there's a free art and craft session at Tudor Park around the corner too. Which part of Underwood park will you be meeting up at?

In here you will find: 🌿 Nature play and park catchups 🥕 Food and low-tox living swaps 🌼 Holistic wellbeing 🎒 Learning outside the box 💬 Honest mum chats without judgement You don’t need to have strong opinions. This is a space for lived experience, open conversation, and respectful curiosity. 👇 If you’d love to introduce yourself, share: • Where you’re from • How old your little ones are • One thing you’re currently curious about Pop in, have a scroll, say hello. Hi everyone, I'm based near Sunnybank Hills, mama to a 3 yo daughter who is with us full time. I've been scrutinizing ingredient labels ever since returning from a detox program in Thailand around 18 years ago (gosh I feel old saying that 😅) where I caught the travel bug and brought my other half along. While volunteering on an organic farm in the Greek islands, we were inspired and decided to start growing our own food when we returned. This coincided with lockdown and my other half suddenly found his element, growing a high density food garden in our suburban lot. Fast forward a few years and we have a bubba who likes to help sort the worms and grubs out from the compost, fresh berries, eggs and various edibles to harvest on most days. She was water birthed and lotus birthed in Sydney, (we moved up when she was 6mo) and breastfed for 2 years. We're heavily leaning towards homeschooling as we feel there is so much more to be learnt to prepare a child for real life than what a conventional school teaches. At least in both our mainstream education experiences it has been the case. I am curious to hear about the funny things other kiddos say. Our little one says the most delightful things sometimes. The other day her papa taught her that if you put honey and soy together when cooking, you can create Teriyaki sauce flavour. She followed up with 'Why we have terydactyl sauce Papa?' 😆
