Help!!!
I purchased this hoping it would be 925. It was listed as unmarked, unsigned silver torque. I bought it because it looked really old and it's kinda cool. Ive researched it and it looks like other pieces from India (tribal). Some sellers on ebay and Posh are.listing it as 800. However, it fails the acid test. Did I just lose $100?

Does it pass the magnet test? Export jewelry like that is very low content over or not at all maybe a silver wash. I’ve seen a listing on Etsy that they sold it at silver for $200 which made me kind of cringe a little bit. If it was me, I would take it to a jeweler so they can put it under the metal analysis machine to make sure. I have a good relationship with my pawn broker and they do things for free for me because I buy so much. Worst case scenario, If anything you could probably break even.

Ebay Searching Tip (Or Any Platform)
Jeweleerlerie lot :D - https://ebay.us/m/9kpRoN - Ends in one day, who is gonna snipe it?! Watch the video below to review a fun way to find great deals because the listing had issues and got NO traffic! It opens up a whole new world of terrible listings from people who have no idea what they are doing. ♥ And ATTENTION Premium and VIP members!!! The April private Whatnot auction is THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at 8PM est. I will be DMing you the link soon. Don't share it! Deadline for any new sign ups, 6PM est Saturday. I'll have a preview video up tomorrow night. If you are interested in trying a level up, go here: skool.com/jewelryiq/plans (easier from a computer/laptop) And finally... Stay tuned... We are having a raid train. Except this ain't no raid train--it's the Skool Bus! Hehehe more info in the next couple days... XO, Brad/threefortytwo

Total cost for me ( California) is approximately $62 w/o tax which is about $1.50 apiece. Looks like a lot of Y2K items, it would be hard for me to resell that after fees and time. On the flip, this week was a good week for me, I like searching for items that people usually struggle with evaluating. Tons on EBay for sure!
When one door closes another one
got a call this morning from a gentleman in which I sent a packet of information about his home. It was listed and it didn’t sell. We call those expired listings. I am in Real Estate. I do need to work for a living. We started talking and he told me that his father was a jeweler and he’s to sell to Mayor jewelry and fine jeweler everywhere. He still has all kinds of contacts and he’s got all kinds of gems hanging around the house. The reason he was selling his house is because he needed money. I asked him to explain exactly what he used to do and his connections. He said he has connection all over the world for gem stones and semi precious stones I can’t wait to get in that house for two reasons. I want to list his house and see what his prize possessions he has. I was asking him what kind of equipment he still had to determine if gems and beads were real or reconstituted . He said “ you do it by sight and i know how to test. I used to buy all over the world”. So I’ll keep you informed. He said he had some of a nicest cut gems. We will see. I

That’s one thing I love about the real estate business, is the EstateSales and all of the fun stuff that you get to go through and help them when you stage the house! All good luck to you!!
Presidium
Hi! I’ve been a reseller for years but just recently realized that jewelry is my favorite niche. I’m considering investing in a presidium. How accurate are they? Worth the cost? Thanks in advance friends!

I’ve had mine for about six months. Just remember that they don’t distinguish between lab created and natural stones because it’s based on thermal conductivity. Calibration is off a lot, and I have to recalibrate it, so make sure that you sign the warranty card and is updated. It’s just the tool of many that you can use, but I find it very helpful.
An interesting lot
What do you think about this lot? Say it is 500pc of resalable rhinestone jewelry. Would you pay $500? If you average even $3 per item, you would 3x your purchase price, but it would take 3 shows. Is $10ea average sale attainable? Would you get rhinestone fatigue? Would your viewers get rhinestone fatigue? Would it not matter because you're doing 10sec sudden death $3 and go free shipping? This could be an interesting lot to use to try a speed show. Show and go. Sudden death, don't stop to breathe. Just make sales and blow out the stink... https://ebay.us/m/nV4rXS

IMHO, I would start around $420, $30 per pound. I did see some missing rhinestones and some with missing the dangles. Hopefully that they’ll ship individually packed and not just throw them in a bag. But I would think $.50 per piece would be a fair offer for 14 pounds. Especially after prom season and before New Year’s, which is six+ months away. If all fails, you can just resell it to other resellers that are starting out.
