8/21 TRANSMISSION 2: COURAGE
Welcome to Week Two. The theme we're activating this week is courage. The word courage comes from the Latin, then the French, before finding its way into English. The word coeur means heart, but it also points toward our core, our spirit. To have courage is to operate from our spirit and our heart regardless of whether we feel fear, intimidation or anxiety. It is the ability to connect to who we really are and to communicate, express and take action from that place. Why is this important when we're talking about messaging? Because we're programmed on many levels to keep ourselves safe and to play small. Our reptilian and mammalian brains are designed for survival. They tell us to hide, not take risks and not endanger ourselves. Then we add human conditioning. Tribal status, belonging and fitting in all become tied to our sense of safety. Human beings are social primates. We're designed to fit in. So speaking your message, expressing yourself artistically and stepping into leadership all feel risky to the nervous system. And yet there is something in us that wants more than survival. If we want to thrive and contribute, we have to access courage. I've worked on sexuality and embodiment for twenty years and entrepreneurship for fifteen. Both are challenging. But I think the artistic path is even more vulnerable. It asks us to put our heart on the line. To share what's inside us. To reveal parts that are vulnerable or sensitive. To create work that genuinely moves people, we have to take a risk. We have to bare ourselves. We have to bare our soul. And we have to do it over and over again. The bigger risk isn't being judged. The bigger risk is reaching the end of your life and realising you never really expressed your gifts. That you never gave as much as you could. That you never fully showed up. Not making enough money would be disappointing. Not achieving certain goals might sting. But never expressing my real essence into the world would feel like a waste of my life.

very inspiring. I am not sure i fully know what my purpose is, either. I know what drives me and what turns me off, for sure. The concept of different masks is invitational, in one way: it provides safety in being intentionally vulnerable while maintaining that which is sacred remains sacred. It's also a challenge to not use it as a crutch, my go to; though, reflecting on vulnerability and power seems to diffuse that a bit. Dying while this "message" persistently synthesizes in my body, before I have had a chance to release it, diffuses my fears quite a bit more. I really resonate with fully embodying my soul, feeling the support of Divine backing, and allowing that to be enough - without a need for the impossible universal approval narrative. If the message never leaves my lips, I'll never have any response - or the chance to bring it to table for discussion, other lenses, wisdom, but also , what is all of it worth if it just lives in my body and doesn't produce any fruits at all? I spent the greater part of the past few years in a deep learning transmission. I also spent the greater part of last year building a spiritual center in my hometown, gutting and rebuilding an old victorian for our coven and for spiritual seekers. The artistry is there. the vulnerability to consistently show up to board meetings and explain myself is there. And at the same time, all this work I have masterminded through, that i set out to do a few years back has changed me categorically. My message is very different today than it was when i set out on this journey. So, I know that this course's transmission is perfectly timed. It is actually quite scary to show up as someone very different now that I can catch my breath and my ministry is starting to launch again. without making this even longer, these pieces, courage as moving through the heart-space, sort of fuel that need and dissolve those fears.

Hello! I am feeling excited and a little overwhelmed. In a good way, I think. I have been talking to the camera, posting videos, creating a world (which was masterful for my Lughnasadh ritual this weekend, beyond social media messaging). I feel like I'm breaking through walls I've put up around my message, and I'm slowly coming online, allowing my actual self to come through, my creativity. the amount of posting has put my perfectionism to the flame, in all areas, because I have to create the space to deliver the message - and that feels like one of the most important things, anyway. So, my focus is more aligned, my energy and efforts pointing in the right direction. AND, feeling a little vulnerable and available, in a way that's still safe, but a little unnerving for me. I missed a share after the weekend because it was incredibly busy. I could have shared, but it would have been another cat video, and while my cat is part of my world view lol, cat lady is not the whole world view. So, thinking about the importance of scheduling videos... that's all. thanks

Volume Over Perfection. Why this matters There's a story in the book Art and Fear about a ceramics teacher who split his class in two. One half was told to produce one high quality piece. The other half was told to just produce as much work as possible. At the end of the semester, all the best work came from the volume group. What this means When we take the pressure off needing to be perfect or incredible, we get to just practice. We do the thing, we learn how to do it, and the more we make, the more likely we are to make something good. How to apply it The principle is simple: make something first. You can make it good later. Don't wait for the perfect idea or the perfect take. What's next That's the challenge here. Just make stuff and put it out there. It's allowed to be shit. It's allowed to be boring. Just get out there and make something.

1/21 MONDAY TRANSMISION: CLARITY
Social media tells us to build a brand. But a brand is a corporate idea. It works for something like Mercedes-Benz because companies don't need to hold contradictions. You're different. You're a living person with different interests, experiences and perspectives. But you're not just building a brand, you're building a world. I heard a musician describe the moment he understood world-building. He walked into an art exhibition and wasn't that impressed until he stepped into a full reconstruction of an African grandmother's lounge room. The rugs. The record player. The typewriter with a sentence left unfinished. The colours. Even the smell. It instantly reminded him of his own grandmother's house. That's world-building. We're not trying to create a logo and a tagline. We're creating a world people can step into and immediately recognise. They understand the values, the culture and the way things work. WHAT CLARITY IS Clarity isn't just an idea. It's a signal. Your message isn't only what you teach. It's how you look, how you sound, the emotions you evoke and the world people experience when they encounter your work. You don't need to compete with Nike. Artists don't compete like Olympic runners. Nobody argues whether Björk is better than Kendrick Lamar because they're not doing the same thing. You have a perspective nobody else has lived. Your experiences, taste and way of seeing the world are unique. Clarity is self-knowledge. It's finding the details that capture your world. The colour of your grandmother's cushions. The music playing in the background. The small things that make your work unmistakably yours. HOW TO FIND IT Spend time with these questions. - What do I want people to feel when they engage with my work? - What cause would I dedicate my life to? - Who do I feel called to serve? - What hill would I die on? - What books, films and music shaped my worldview? - What values do the people in my world share? This isn't a one-week exercise.

Its very freeing to just be - and it felt like permission to just release silently held categorizing of myself. my first pass through this journaling helped me to get in touch with disconnects between what i am asking of my community and ways that I am not, myself, delivering on that - creating a blockage of some sort. but mostly freeing.
0/21 COURSE INTRODUCTION - WATCH THIS FIRST!!!
This course has been a long time coming. Over the last three years I've stepped away from teaching, gone deeper into my work as an artist and mystic, and completely rethought how I want to communicate. I realised that the old internet marketing approach isn't enough for me anymore. I want to communicate from my whole being. My body. My heart. My intuition. My creativity. My experience. That's what this course is about. Not becoming louder. Becoming more fully expressed. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ THE ETHOS Everything we do here balances two worlds. Structure and intuition. Strategy and soul. Business and artistry. We'll absolutely talk about messaging, content, visibility and influence. But we'll also explore courage, creativity, embodiment and purpose. Because the quality of your message is inseparable from the person delivering it. When you become clearer, your message becomes clearer. When you become braver, your audience feels it. When you become more consistent, your work begins to compound. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ HOW THE COURSE WORKS For the next 21 days, you'll receive one lesson, prompt or activation each day. The journey is divided into three stages. Week 1 • Clarity Who are you? What do you stand for? Who do you serve? What world are you trying to build? Week 2 • Courage What's stopping you from being seen? What fears are keeping your message small? How do you express yourself more honestly? Week 3 • Consistency How do you keep showing up? How do you build habits that allow your work to reach people long after motivation fades? Along the way we'll have live Q&A calls, discussions inside the community and a few bonus resources as well. This isn't a course to binge. It's a practice to live. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hello all - my name is Beth and I am from NJ in the US. I work as a small group and one-on-one healer at Beth Barling Wellness and I minister in community as a Wiccan eldar at my co-creation, The Serpent and The Dove. I have spent an inordinate amount of time, the last few years, curating my businesses as they grow (which is quite lovely), restoring a Victorian home to practice in, navigating legal barriers, finishing up a masters in theology - all really wonderful and chosen things, but I find when I speak or write, I am choking on what I can say and what I can't say, lately. Or I am simply exhausted or bored or there is some quickbooks/wordpress/tech/legal/graphic design thing that could distract me from the one thing I set out to do, which is spiritual facilitation. I am here because I want to reconnect with the parts of my work that make it my calling, aligned, resonate, fun, meaningful, Spirit infused - the thing I would do for free all the time if I could. This course is a chance for me to focus back into my spirituality and theology, my ministry, my exploration, my living ritual, and breathe life back into my work. Success after three weeks, for me, would simply be resuming the creative flow I once had, despite the paper work that surrounds me. It should be the guiding light, not the other way around.
