I finished 1 out of 3! I started with the menstrual cycle and NS because I’ll be on day 1 tomorrow and was excited to listen in. Definitely found it really interesting that sympathetic kicks up during menstruation! In my mind it’s opposite but makes so much sense. I also really loved the point made about how too much of following a structure around your cycle phases can lead to less embodiment because of trying to push a disciplined approach, in a sense. Because I’ve totally felt that and been irritated when trying to follow a more structured approach to my cycle, to the point of overwhelm because it’s like.. too much paying attention? Too much pressure? If that makes sense.

Question: I feel like I don’t have a full understanding on what exactly is considered trauma for the NS. Of course I can think of “big” things that have happened but I guess I’m wondering in the sense of the link you mention between early childhood trauma and PMDD (new research) like how do we know if something impacted the NS and needs attention/healing/clearing? Or is it more so you don’t need to know the specifics, you go off of body feelings and symptoms and work up to processing without needing additional information? Hopefully I’m not being super confusing! Lol @Veronica Rottman Second question: Regulation happening through resourcing pleasure. Is this something we just try and do a little of daily? Or try to sort of do as much as we’re able?

Hello! My name is Elissa. I am on Lake Erie in Northeast Ohio. I have been following Veronica for quite some time now and have been very interested in learning more about the female nervous system in the hopes of helping myself in my own journey with my health. I am currently in school for Ayurveda. I love to learn and am passionate about female wellness. I’m excited to see where this goes and hope to build off this. ✨❤️
