Hello members! My offer in several Facebook groups for a cello bow workshop was met with overwhelming interest. I already know what content to present, but now I need to plan out how to hold the workshop. One important detail is “when?” So many of the interested cellists are international, as are some current members. To help me narrow down the best time, comment below with your time zone. That will help me determine the best time so that the most people can attend.

It’s a Community that is going to help committed musicians who want to play their favorite songs on the cello. Members will experience the personal attention of a one-on-one lesson with the motivational effects of a group class. While classic songs will be used for learning to play the cello, members will also get to explore non-standard and/or contemporary songs for additional fun while they learn. Members will even get to learn how to use music theory to rewrite songs for cello. Cellists in this community will find themselves excelling in their playing and songwriting through what’s known as the flywheel effect. Put simply, this is the effect of teachers and students coming together to show progress, express struggles, share advice, and support each other on their musical journeys. I experienced a similar flywheel effect in college called Repertoire. This class was where music students performed for both peers and faculty and received valuable feedback and encouragement in their musical education. I’m seeking to bring that experience and more to the Rose Cello Studio. Remember, this is a community. It's not just a place for you to just learn, but for you to be helped and to help others. If you're going through any of the courses in the classroom, be sure to post videos of your results. You will either find help for music you're struggling with, be an encouragement to those who see you trying, or even help others with their own progress. This is a group learning adventure, and the more we share our own individual progress, the more we get to help others make their own progress.

Pirates of the Carribbean has to be amongst the most requested songs by students, especially for cello. This is a sample of a writing project I was helping a student with one time.
