Busy vs Productive I'm looking to improve myself to become the better version of me and that's why we're all on a transformation journey. Whether it's weight loss, weight gain, financial stability, a more organized house, etc. it is why we are all looking to find better version of ourselves. I am currently reading this new book 12 Pillars by Jim Rohn. The first chapter talks about personal growth and it got me thinking because it talks about putting your time in the right areas. You can work as many hours as you want but if you are not putting that work into the right areas you will never improve. I got home from the gym yesterday and started breaking down and looking at myself. And was wondering if I was truly putting the time in. Am I being busy just to look busy or is that busyness actually productive? When I truly broke it down, I found that the "busyness" is just busy looking not actually productive. Everyday I take out my books to study, I take out piles of paperwork to organize, and to learn, I put into folders and then I put those folders on a shelf. Moving one unorganized mess to a more organinized mess. But am I truly getting anything accomplished? And this goes for my firefighting skills at work. Again I pull out all these books to study tactics and watch videos on YouTube. But am I applying it or just looking busy? When I truly break it down I am just looking busy, I am not moving forward in the way I should be. My big goal moving forward with this transformation is going to be working on turning my "busyness" into true production to become the better version of myself. I wanna start understanding the material I'm reading and apply it. I want to start taking the skills and knowledge I'm seeing and putting it into action because this is the only way I am truly going to transform, by turning all this busyness into actual true production. Now yesterday I challenged you all to make your to do list, your goal list, your challenge list moving forward and today I want to add to that. I want to challenge you to truly break down what you do every day. I want you to see amd understand if you being busy or are you being productive? If you're just being busy to be busy like I have been, build a plan to turn that busyness into production and that production is gonna become transformation and that transformation is going to lead you into becoming the true version of who you should be.

That’s major insight thank you for sharing. Jim Rohn is one of my favorites. I like his talk on making sure we don’t “major” in “minor” things.

Completed my first half marathon in 2:37. Reached goal of under 3 hours and no walking. Now it’s time to train for my first marathon in November! Goal is to finish that one in under 5 hours. 💪🏾
