We aren't just a group. We’re a Research Lab. šŸ§ āš™ļø
At 40+, "muscling through" executive dysfunction isn't a strategy—it’s a recipe for burnout. Support is great, but we need systems. I’m turning this space into a co-creation lab where we build a "Second Brain" framework specifically for neurodivergent minds. We’re going to use AI to break the "Wall of Awful" and build digital vaults so we never lose a brilliant idea again. šŸ“‚āœØ This isn’t a finished product—we are building it together. To start, I need to know where your focus is leaking the most so we can choose our first "Experiment." šŸ› ļø What is your biggest "Brain Leak" right now?

So I wrote out an answer it my head and it got wordy and squirrely so I closed out without posting but then I felt like I wasn't contributing to the research. 1. So often get stuck because well..we're do I start there are so many steps...too many steps.. and the worst missteps 2. Which brings about the overwhelm 3. So I make lists. I have post-its everywhere so I can jot a note when it comes to mind. Real tasks for real 'jobs' become a scatter of to do lists until I organize them. Which brings me to 4. Burnout before I even start. 5. I'll still mask through though because deadlines!
Welcome to the Beautiful Chaos (Start Here 🚩)
Hey everyone, I’m Jesse Niall, and I started this group because, like you, I’m navigating the "beautiful chaos" of life over 40 with an ADHD brain. For decades, many of us have white-knuckled our way through careers, kids, and big responsibilities. We’ve been told to "just use a planner," but our brains don’t work that way. The Reality of This Space ✨ I’m not here as a clinical counselor or a medical expert. I’m here as someone with the lived experience of the 40+ ADHD whirlwind. I know what it’s like to be high-performing one minute and completely paralyzed by a simple email the next. Our Direction šŸ› ļø This community is a "living room" where we figure it out together. I’ll be sharing the systems that keep my own life from imploding, but I want to hear yours, too. This group will evolve based on what you need—whether that's career systems, parenting hacks, or just a place where people "get it." First Step: Introduce Yourself šŸ’¬ Don’t overthink it. Just drop a comment below and tell us: 1. One thing you’re currently "navigating" (Career? Kids? Home?). 2. One small "win" you’ve had recently. Let’s get to work.

And just like that @Christina Joy got me here. I'm just mulling along in life. For me it seems feast or famine with required tasks and projects. I just sat through a month of doodling and making and now have 3 very important projects with multiple steps to manage.

Totally brain dumped and then found my color pens and organized it in 3 pretty list. Of course each task has multiple levels (as we all know) and I've added scribbles along the way as I did get a few things done today. One of my nemesis is passwords and some of today's projects included getting onto sites that I only visit once in awhile... and I know everyone feels that pain. I have to say I didn't do too bad today. I did crash about 2:30 but I did feel good about what I get accomplished. Thank you for the support!
