Let's Do This!
We are getting some great momentum and new members -- welcome all! I am going to spend some time this weekend fixing up the classroom and calendar space, it needs to be updated with current offerings and we're going to add some short little "hands on topic" sessions to provide know-how on things like how to use Canva, how to use SEMRush, and other helpful tools for any business. Stay tuned and PLEASE NOTE - if you came to a in-person class and are looking for your toolkits, please message me and tell me which classes you took and I will drop your toolkits into your account for you - have a great weekend!!!

@Sandy Aluru I hear you consistent clients and marketing can definitely be tricky. I’ve seen a lot of business owners solve that by refining their messaging and systems to attract the right clients more predictably. If you don’t mind, I could share a couple of strategies that might help you get more consistent leads. Would that be helpful?

@Sandy Aluru happy to share 😊 A couple things I see work really well: 1, Clarifying your core offer & who it’s for when your messaging speaks directly to one specific problem, the right clients tend to self-select faster. 2, Consistent visibility in one main channel focusing on where your ideal clients already are tends to bring better results than trying to be everywhere. 3, Simple, human follow-up most leads need more than one touch, and having a light system really helps with consistency. If you’re open to it, what type of clients are you trying to attract right now, and where are you currently marketing? Also, if you don’t mind, I can connect you with my coach he’s helped a lot of business owners create more consistent leads and growth. No pressure at all, just an option if you’d find it helpful 😊
Welcome!

@Steven Will Love that wearing both the creative and operational hats Are you more focused on growing the studio side right now, or the touring/artist management side?

@Steven Will That’s amazing, Steven I love the heart behind that. 💛 Using creativity as a bridge to real-world skills for underserved youth is so powerful. Are you still in the early vision/foundation stage, or have you started building programs or partnerships yet?
New Year / Fresh Start
By now, this is usually the moment when New Year’s resolutions start to wobble. The excitement fades. The to-do list feels longer. Doubt creeps in. If you’re just starting a business, or pushing yourself to make 2026 different - here’s your reminder: momentum doesn’t come from motivation — it comes from consistency. You don’t need a perfect plan. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to keep showing up — one small, intentional step at a time. Progress looks like: ✔️ asking questions ✔️ learning new tools ✔️ adjusting the plan ✔️ staying in the game when it gets uncomfortable The same discipline that carried you through service will carry you through entrepreneurship — just applied in a new way. This isn’t the “make it or break it” moment. It’s the decide to keep going moment. You’ve got this. And you don’t have to do it alone. 🇺🇸✨

@Dorothy Jones Hey 👋 Just joined Small Biz Skills and saw your comment curious, what kind of business are you working on right now?

@Dorothy Jones That’s awesome nice work getting started! 🙌 Dropshipping definitely has a learning curve, so having guidance early on helps a lot. I’m in the digital/business growth space helping small business owners with systems, marketing, and creating more time freedom as they grow. What’s been the biggest challenge for you so far with dropshipping?
