Intro
Hi Im dropping in from Australia here. I stumbled on Micah on Insta. Finally got around to looking at this community and really loving the engagement and hopefully learn a thing or two. I refer to myself as an Ex Nurse however I did just renew my rego. I have been on leave without pay for a few months now after maternity leave but I've been forming an exit plan for years. I did about 8 years of generalist nursing and then a Grad Cert in Counselling, and for the last 4 years I have been a Drug and Alcohol Nurse. I have loved Drug & Alcohol for its raw human and holistic connection but still my soul craves more!!! I've always felt I wanted to bridge Nursing & Spirituality somehow and so I feel this may be a way for me to Nurse Coach. I started a Skool Community called 'Healthworkers be held' but still learning how to navigate Skool. Did I mention I have a 9 month old - that means a lot of unfinished projects. My other quite major side quest is my work as a 'Soul Connection Coach'. I connect people with their 'Higher Self' through my offerings of Sacred Space Holding Sessions and Sacred Ancestral Healing & DNA recoding. It's all pretty woo woo and I'll proudly wave that flag. I was thinking to water down my offers in my Skool community to land with the Healthworker/Medical brain types but maybe not too. Im here to learn and grow and get excited about what creations are possible. Thanks for having me!

Secrets, secrets are no fun..
I was reflecting on how when I first started this journey into nurse coaching and building a business I didn't tell anyone about it. It was literally my best kept secret because my brain wanted me to think that it wasn't important enough to talk about until I was "successful" 🙃 I didn't want to risk "failing" publicly. But I quickly realized it doesn't work that way.. Path 1: stay small, keep this work a secret, HOPE that people will magically line up at your door to ask about your work and beg you to let them pay you for it 😂 Path 2: make peace with letting people witness your growth. the messy middle. the trial and error. the first draft. the version that isn't fully polished yet. because the truth is that allowing people to witness your growth is often how the right people find you in the first place. I'm sharing this because I didn't realize just how much I was gatekeeping all of it until recently, and even so I'm still getting comfortable letting all of the walls come down! The people who are meant to work with you aren't looking for someone who has never made a mistake. They're looking for someone who is committed to their craft, willing to evolve, and brave enough to show up before everything is figured out. My question for you is: Who is one person in your life who doesn't know about the work you're doing? My challenge for you is: Share a little bit about it with them. Tell them what you're building. Tell them why it matters to you. Tell them who you help. And then ask them to keep you in mind. Ask if they know anyone in their world who might benefit from your support, or who could use a conversation with someone like you. Not because you're trying to sell them something. Because the people who care about you want to see you succeed, and they can't support work they don't know exists. Sometimes growing a business isn't about reaching more strangers, sometimes it's about allowing the people already in your life to truly see what you're creating! Comment on this post once you did it! 😊

Oh thank you, love this reminder to live and speak your work. Visibility has been a sneaky little crutch for me. I don't think Im scared of visibility until I have to talk to family and friends about what I do 🤪
