Good morning from DC everyone! Super happy to report that after 4 years in an extremely stressful position, I handed in my resignation yesterday. The amount of stress that I have been under professionally for the last several years made personal life very difficult as well. While I did not land a new remote job through this program, it is not due to the lack of amazingness from @Austin Abeyta and @Ari Dimayacyac The new job that I will be starting kinda fell into my lap over the holiday break and before my resume was even shopped through this program. Both Austin and Ari are doing amazing work for this group and I wish everyone tremendous success in 2026 and for the future. I will still be here to help or answer any questions you all may have. I believe in this program and love the solid community effort that has been formed here.

I’ve always wanted to work online and travel the world. I’m 32 currently working in the trucking industry in America. I do enjoy this work, but it is not the dream. I know I can have a better life that I enjoy more by moving abroad. I wanted to at least take a trip before I make the leap to live abroad. So I took my first trip to Thailand this past Christmas and celebrated New Year’s out there. After traveling there meeting the people, enjoying the food and realizing how affordable this kind of life can be, it has lit a fire in my soul to take the necessary steps to create the life I want. What I want: Practice Muay Thai. Travel to multiple countries. Make money online. Learn learn learn. Meet people with the same mindset. Hey everyone, the past few days I have came down with a gnarly sickness. I am visiting family I swear my niece and nephew will just walk up and cough directly in your face hahaha. Bad news is I am moving pretty slow these days, I bought a ton of meds and am resting up. I think I will be better soon. In the meantime I am moving our weekly call to Sunday (update), apologies for the last minute change. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the call and I will be circling back to everyones DMs today as well. I know by Sunday I will be fully recovered as well as will have some major updates and resources for everyone

I was able to meet up with Justin from our community a couple days ago and got lunch in Alameda, California. Was nice to talk in person about work similarities, goals & aspirations, travel, philosophy, and a bunch of other topics. As the community continues to grow and more of us establish remote income in the near future, more meetups between everyone are bound to happen. Wishing everyone good luck on their journey.

I'm planning to be completely nomadic based in Asia for almost all of 2026 and onward, starting in mid-January. After a couple of months in the Philippines, I'll stay in Vietnam for 3 months starting on March 11th in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and then Hanoi/Ha Long Bay area. Malaysia for 3 months after Vietnam. If anyone has any suggestions or advice on either of these countries/places regarding banking, housing/monthly rentals, and any interesting tips/tricks that should be shared I'd really appreciate it. For Vietnam there's already a couple of alternative sites outside of Airbnb like cozycozy and livinginvietnam.com that I've taken a look at and am also informed on the visa process. Thanks Y'all!
