Why the Dream State Matters
We still donât fully understand dreaming. Some say it helps process emotion. Others point to memory, creativity, or learning. But whatâs becoming clear is this: Dreaming is connected to how we metabolize experience. And most of what we live through doesnât just disappear at the end of the day. It lingers... in the body, in our nervous system. If there isnât enough rest, safety, or space to metabolize it⌠it stays unfinished. This is part of why dreams can feel so charged. Theyâre one of the places where the system continues its work. Where what hasnât been processed begins to reorganize. Yoga Nidra touches this same territory, but consciously. Youâre not asleep or trying to figure anything out. Youâre resting⌠while the system begins to metabolize whatâs been held. And when that happens, insight doesnât feel forced. It feels like something finally had the space to land. We explore this more deeply inside the Peace in Rest Program If you feel the pull to understand this in your own system, you can join the waitlist.
