Let's get honest... What's your biggest struggle right now - where do you need help from the group? I'll share mine in the first comment ๐Ÿซฃ Guitar is a Rollercoaster in case you haven't noticed. Up... Down... Up... Down... You're excited to practice, but then you walk by your guitar for the 10th time that day. It can definitely be a love hate relationship ๐Ÿ˜† But, there comes is a point in everyone's journey where things get really hard, like "Im never going to be able to do this, hard" For some it's a song, for others it's a solo, even landing those first few chords can make you feel like giving up. But here's a little secret. Its at this pivotal point where everything will change for you. You'll slow down, you'll take a step back, you'll ask for help. You see, most players stop right before they realize, we were never meant to learn in isolation. So I challenge you this week, share the struggle, ask for help, and watch how powerful this community can be.

For me, right now, it's committing to one thing. I love playing, and I have songs to learn for gigs, and church, and students... So when I get time to practice for ME - there's so much I want to do. I have to remind myself everyday, I can't do it all. I have to pick and stay focused ๐Ÿง

I'd love to know what people want more of, so that we can make it ๐Ÿ˜Š.
Slow ๐ŸŒ moving.
This is not a question from being discouraged but just wondering. I seen to get moving in the right direction one morning but back a few steps the next day. One day I think I'm ready for lesson 3, but the next day I barely get pass 68 bpm. How many have been in this place. I seen stuck and don't know if I should just push through to the next lesson or stay where I at until I can get the required bpm on the cords and the strumming pattern somewhat better. Not quitting just asking for direction from the members.

The biggest thing is that you keep practicing. I know that that's such a weird thing to say, but realize that you're taking your guitar out of the case every day, and so many people would be discouraged enough to keep putting it off and off and off. If you take it out and move on to Lesson 3 or stay at Lesson 2, you have minutes with the guitar, and that means even when it doesn't feel like you're getting much better, you absolutely are. As far as it goes for me, I think the best answer is to do the thing that sounds like the most fun to you that day, because if it's fun, it's going to make you want to keep doing it. So if you feel like, man, Lesson 3 is going to be a real struggle, but it would be fun to do 2 again, jump in and do 2. If you think, man, I did Lesson 2 twice already, I'm ready for three, even if I don't feel like I'm going to do it super well, jump in and try three. That would be my real recommendation. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Christmas Songs? Post here!
I know some of us are working on various Christmas Songs . So I thought it would be cool to have one thread we could post too!...to show our progress and maybe get some pointers from the community and or @Jake Galambos I am working on a finger style Silent Night but here are some others I am currently working on. I am trying to break the habit of looking at my fingers so I found these exercises perfect for training muscle memory in knowing where my fingers are at on the fret board...Anywho here are some Christmas songs that are works in progress!
