You're doing fantastic on this. Both solos and all the chords. There's so much going on in this song and you're absolutely crushing it. In the video, I gave you three recommendations, particularly starting from the end of the entire song and working your way back as you practice, or even the end of a solo and working your way back. There's more details in the video. I talk a little bit about picking one spot, a very small spot, to play over and over and over again to really work on just groove, timing, feel, to embody that inside the song. And lastly, I gave a few tips on getting bends to be a little bit bigger, especially when dealing with the acoustic, which is a really tough thing to tackle. Again, this is great, great work. I'm super impressed.

I tried something new ๐Ÿซฃ + Small Challenge for You ๐ŸŽ
I recorded my next 3 YouTube videos LIVE... I'm going to edit them down now...but... How'd I do? I'm new to this but my chat with @Sergio Felix over the past few days gave me the confidence to 'fail forward' and just give it a shot! It's something I've wanted to do and so...I'm doing it. Even if I'm doing it not so great yet ๐Ÿ™ƒ So...if you have a chance to check it out I'd love some real feedback on what I can improve. So...how was I? โฌ‡๏ธ ALSO the Challenge... In the spirit of new things...if you post a video in the community (do it as it's own post) before Friday the 19th I will send you an encouraging and actionable video reply! A simple 30-90 second phone video is plenty (more is good too ;) and don't try to be perfect - seeing the little flubs and imperfections helps me see how best to help!

Respect Every Journey
Every guitarist here is at a different stage, and thatโ€™s what makes this community powerful. Love and respect mean lifting each other up, not comparing or judging. We all started somewhere, and we all keep learning. Question: Whatโ€™s one thing youโ€™re proud of in your guitar journey so far?

@Michael Keegan that's amazing and so true. Some days, some weeks, some months, the progress is slow or feels non-existent. But as long as we keep pulling out the guitar, we're getting better. ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Marion Duckworth amazing. Keeping coming back day after day is what really makes the progress.โ—

You're doing fantastic. The chord sounds wonderful and all the strings are ringing out. And also, the guitar looks comfortable in your hands โ€” like you've got a good playing posture and position, which is fantastic. Lining up with the metronome can be really, really, really, really crazy tough at first. So here's maybe a couple ideas that will help with that. 1) try to just play this by turning the metronome off. Just count to yourself one, two, and three, four, and as you strum, making sure your pick's going in the right direction. And don't worry about trying to line up with the metronome. You can always line up with the metronome later once it feels more comfortable. Also, your pick direction was right the whole time in the video, which is pretty fantastic and not an easy thing to do! 2) another tip is it looks like you're looking at a metronome. It's probably flashing or doing something to show you when the clicks are happening. The problem is the speed of light is much faster than the speed of sound. And while it doesn't seem like it to your conscious brain, your eyes are actually processing that visual signal at a different speed than your ears. So I would recommend not looking at the metronome when you are practicing with it, as tempting as it is. ๐Ÿ˜Š
