What’s the best exchange you’ve used to buy Bitcoin?
I am almost ready to run the $100 Bitcoin Buy test. I just need a couple of more exchanges to set up accounts on so that I can buy bitcoin from them in the test. I want one more bitcoin only exchange and one multi coin exchange. I will be, including several of the big multi coin exchanges in the test for comparison sake So, what is your favorite bitcoin only exchange to buy bitcoin from? And, what is your favorite multi coin exchange to buy bitcoin from?

@Alex C I feel at this point the battle is already over. Bitcoin has won, and Fiat is suffering a long, slow death. The silly rules are just speed bumps to bitcoin users, and the overall experience of getting fiat into bitcoin.

@Jeff Frendle I really appreciated it when you guys share good and bad experiences. If we can help new users avoid the obvious potholes in their bitcoin journey it’s going to help them a ton

Bitcoin availability for the Masses
Samsung phones and Walmart to offer Bitcoin & crypto. Samsung Galaxy phones have 75 million users in the US, and Walmart attracts an estimated 255 million weekly customers across its US stores and online platforms, making it the top shopping destination for over a third of American consumers. In addition, 438 million shoppers visit Walmart.com each month, contributing to the massive customer base that shops at the retail giant. Phone giant Samsung and retailer Walmart have said they are rolling out crypto support in what could open up major new avenues for users. - Retail traders have so far remained on the sidelines of crypto markets this year, though developments that make access easier just as prices hit all-time highs could be the catalyst that reignites interest. On Friday, Samsung and Coinbase announced they are extending a partnership to let U.S. Galaxy phone users fund crypto purchases through Samsung Pay in the Coinbase app. - The tie-up integrates Samsung Pay with Coinbase, targeting over 75 million Galaxy owners with a global rollout planned in the coming months. ZeroHash cash: Walmart's OnePay digital finance app is meanwhile planning to add bitcoin and ethereum trading and custody to its mobile banking app later this year, according to a CNBC report, citing anonymous sources. - The rollout, powered by ZeroHash, will reportedly let users convert crypto to cash in-app to spend at Walmart stores or pay down card balances. These actions will greatly increase demand for The Limited supply of Bitcoin. 💲💲💲

Core VS. Knots
@AP Wilcox If this is not something that you approve to post I understand. What are the thoughts on Core vs. Knots? Do you know the difference between them? If you could run one or the other or both-- What method would you take Use a MAC? Use a PC (with say 2TB ssd drive) 16GB Ram Linux? Using Start9 DIY? MyNode? Umbrel? Has anyone done this in this group? I asked AP about it and he was just getting started with it as am I . Spent alot of hours in the rabbit hole of YouTube and websites. There are a ton more ?'s i have but figured I would not ask them all if no one was interested.

Jeff, glad you are posting meaningful stuff here in FSB! As long as the main focus here is always helping people new to Bitcoin to get started the simplest and safest way possible I’m good with next step stuff like this. Running your own node isn’t first step Bitcoin stuff in my opinion, but long term it’s absolutely essential. We gotta keep Bitcoin powerful and safe and to me that means as many of use as possible need to run our own nodes and eventually a small miner.
What wallet should you get if you’re new to Bitcoin?
I’d like to make some recommendations on this topic. There’s no one right wallet for everyone. But the best wallets will have a few things in common. Here’s a couple of the most important: 1. Bitcoin-only (simpler, safer) 2. Open source (anyone and everyone can look at the code and make sure it’s safe) What is your favorite Bitcoin-only, open source wallet?

@Alex C I have a coldcard too. It is the Cadillac of hardware wallets I wouldn’t recommend it for a Bitcoin newbie but once you get to people in advanced stage, it’s probably one of the best things you can get

@Christopher Rogers the tapsigner is the same thing as tangem but it is Bitcoin only. Very easy to use to approve transactions. Imagine that’s why so many people like the tangem
