Well… This Escalated. 😂 And Poor Old Des Has Just About Caught Up 😜
Well… this escalated. 😂 Slightly longer post but Im so excited and you will love the funny bits....so please enjoy. Skool Events Daily started with a fairly simple idea. Create a place where people on Skool could share their events and we could help get those events in front of more people. Simple. Lovely. And then I got involved. 😂 Before long there was the Weekly Events Bulletin. Then I started bringing Partners on board so we could get those events seen by even more people. Then came Member Spotlights. And the little idea wasn't quite so little anymore. Then, at the beginning of July, Des arrived. Poor man. I don't think he had any idea what he'd walked into. 😂 Since then he's basically been trying to keep up with me while I say things like... "I've had an idea..." ...and I watch that tiny flicker of fear cross his face as he wonders what I'm about to add next. To be fair to him, he's kept up remarkably well. 😂 Because since July, Skool Events Daily has continued to grow and change at a slightly ridiculous rate. We've added more ways to promote events, Experts Corner, From Heather's Desk, Coffee, Chat & Collab, easier ways for members to submit their events and plenty more going on behind the scenes. And somewhere along the way, the Weekly Bulletin that started all this began turning into something much bigger. So today, our little baby has packed its bags, put on its best frock and ventured out onto the World Wide Web. Yes. I still call it the World Wide Web. I'm English and 57. You're lucky I didn't call it the information superhighway. 😂 Skool Events Daily now has its own website. People can browse events happening today, see what's happening this week, look at upcoming events, browse by category and even find events by host. And here's the important bit... Anyone can use it. You don't have to be a member of Skool Events Daily to browse the website, discover an event or go along to one. Which means the people running those events now have another way of getting themselves in front of people.

Skool vs Competitors [UPDATED]
This is going to be a straight to the point comparisson between Skool and 2 of it's big competitors that I worked with: Circle and Mighty Networks Is Skool the best of the 3? Short answer: Yes! For the majorit of cases. Long answer bellow: --> Circle: PROS: - Segregation: You can have different spaces for a lot of things. Different chat spaces, different spaces for sharing media, share photos. That allows you to have a lot of different things going on in the community in a organized way, and you can accomodate several niches. - Sharing Media is easy and it looks good: You can share media in a lot of different ways. Members can embed code, so they can for example post a spotify reproduction list that you can play without leaving the page. You can also have photo albums that look really good. - Stunning landing pages: In Circle you can create awesome landing pages, very easily and that look like professional websites. WIth these landing pages you can use your own custom domain. You can also have metrics like traffic and convertion rate. - Integrated CRM features, so you can have your own sales funnel and also manage mailmarketing - Support is great. You can have an answer from a real agent in 15 minutes. - Custom domain, without Circle in the name CONS: - Complicated and expensive pricing model: The pricing model is a mess. Upgrades cost too much. LIke going from 89 dollars to 199 to access automations. And 419 to have AI agents. That's pretty salty, specially for solo entepreneurs. - Annoying limitations: Circle has limitations for number of moderators and admins even on the highest plans. Also unlike Mighty Networks, you have a limit to the number of spaces you can create. And the livestreams are also pretty limited in how many hours you can host per month. Ideal for: Businesses that want to sell courses, have multiple niches in the same place, but not too much because of the limitations and want to allow people to share media in a lot of different ways.

THIS! ➡️ "Lack of online course features: no way to require people to watch a video before unlocking the next. No quizes. No automatic certification emissions. All of these are very basic features for education platforms." ‼️
I was posting in 30 to 50 communities and a few members told me to stop
I thought more communities meant more reach. What it actually meant was the same people seeing me over and over. Plenty of members belong to a dozen communities. So if you're posting in 40, the overlap isn't small. Those members were getting notified about me several times a day, sometimes the same title sitting in two different feeds. A few of them said something. Politely, but they said it. I'd been counting communities. I should have been counting people. Three things changed after that. I cut the number right down. I post mainly in my own now, plus a couple of others where the audience is actually different. I use Panda to schedule posts across different parts of the day, so anything that does overlap lands hours apart instead of together. And I don't reuse a title across communities. Same idea is fine. Same title just looks like broadcasting. Worth remembering that reach isn't the member count. It's whoever hasn't already seen you somewhere else that morning. If you're working out how YouTube feeds a Skool community, that's what I write about in The Content Revenue Lab: https://tinyurl.com/TheContentRevenueLab Des

I HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU...!
I've started 47 projects this year. Finished 2. That's not a discipline problem. That's an ADHD brain running on the wrong operating system. So I built one that actually works with it, not against it. 33 people already in. Free to join 👇 skool.com/making-progress/about

I stand corrected
@Shannon Boyer I stand corrected. I don’t think free groups are showing up on Skool's FB ads after all. Everyone I've clicked on through the day is a paid group. There we go.
