I have completed the first step in making the basket my daughter has requested. I have tied about 250-ish square knots to create the varigated yarn to start making the icord. I used yarn I already had and had ChatGPT help me get the colors into random lengths and order to try to avoid the look of stripes or sloppy columns. The one on the left is first and will continue to the one on the right. I hand cranked the cakes as I tied the yarn pieces together.

Today is day three of four of doing crafts shows this week and I have sold probably $1000 in stuff, (not that I get to keep all of that by the time I buy yarn to replace what I have used.) Everyone keeps telling me that thos a good problem to have and I agree, but it is exhausting. I get up at 4:30 to make as much as I can before the show. Every spare moment during the show, I am making things and I will go home and work until 9pm tonight making more. This is where batch knitting becomes important. I focus on a specific product at a time. Today at the show is the tubes for the loop shawl and then as they come off the machine, I close one end and cinch the other, so when I get home and have more sitting space, I can sew them together. I am getting low on loop scarfs, so tonight I will make the pieces for them tonight, then get up early tomorrow to finish some, before coming in today. I alao track what inventory I have so I always know which ones to make. By batch knitting I can produce more in a shorter space of time.
