10 contributions to Admin Skool
Foundations - 🧨 Action Step 6
Write down your honest answer to these three questions: 1. What stage are you currently at? (Stage 1: Learning the role, Stage 2: Applying the skills somewhere, Stage 3: Building a track record, Stage 4: Position yourself, Stage 5: Getting Paid!) 2. What's the one thing standing between you and the next stage? 3. What would it mean for you to land your first paid admin role?

@Hector Febres Exactly! Spotting what’s good and building on it is what turns good into great. Chick-fil-A proves it with their “thank you” or “my pleasure” mindset, where employees are well trained to respond in a way that makes every guest feel valued.

@Hector Febres over the years never had a bad employee experience at Chick-fil-A, can't say that about other restaurants. Their training system flat out works!
Welcome New Members!
I am absolutely thrilled to welcome in our newest members @Santiago Correa, @Russell Cross III, @Vickie Padavano, and @Jack McHalffey! We are very much just getting started...only finished framing out the MVP a few days ago 🤯 Here you'll learn the ins and outs of being an Admin, whether that's for the community you own, a community you currently admin for, or for you to prepare to step into the admin role! Right now all courses in the classroom are open to all levels but I highly suggest you like, comment, and reply so if/when they do become level locked you'll already be there! As founding members you'll also get access to some of the paid courses as they come out before they lock so you can level up your skills and provide feedback for improvement! So, inquiring minds want to know: 1️⃣ Are you brand new, already an admin, or a community owner? 2️⃣ What do you hope to learn in Admin Skool? 3️⃣ Tell us about your Skool community! But mostly, welcome 🤗

Welcome Brandon Decremer!
Admin Skool please give a warm welcome to @Brandon Decremer! I had the pleasure of speaking with Brandon and I'm so excited he's here. I'll let him introduce himself but he is a bridge builder and connector! So @Brandon Decremer tell us a bit about yourself and your community!

Welcome, great to see you here @Brandon Decremer
What do you do first?
Hey Admin Skool! I have a problem, it's a good problem to have but a problem nonetheless. I follow a few people and am a member of 15 communities so I get a lot of notifications. Yesterday I still had like 40 unread notifications at the end of the night, I finally decided to just skim them and mark them all as read. I wish I could respond to everything but there's only so much time in a day. Even worse, I had wanted to put some finishing touches to a new course here on Admin Skool but just trying to read/respond to all notifications and DMs took up most of my time. Wondering how all of you prioritize your work. What do you do first? Feel free to also comment your thoughts on what you think owners and admins SHOULD prioritize, especially if it's different from what you answered. Would be thrilled if this exercise helps even just one other person get a bit clearer and structuring their approach here on Skool. P.S. I am NOT full time on Skool. I have a day job, a beautiful pregnant wife, and 4 kids (already out of the womb lol), plus other communities I admin for.

Do both DM's and notifications first .. but feel I should be prioritizing creating my posts first for the day.

Find one Skool community you're currently a member of (or one you can join for free). Observe it for 15 minutes and ask yourself: - Does it feel alive or quiet? - Are new members being welcomed? - Is anyone sparking conversations? Write down one thing you notice. That awareness is where admin skill begins.

I've joined many communities and being a researcher, that's the first thing I always check out. I've found the communities that try to do it all solo, might start out very active, but then tend to go quiet over time. The communities with one or more admin (splitting up the responsibilities) tend to then attract even more engaged members.

@Mrs. 'K' So true, the solo-preneur trap is real. A strong admin team doesn’t just support the owner, it amplifies the community’s energy and consistency. Appreciate you sharing this.
