Insight Practice (Level 2): Group Check In (3.25.26)
Insight Practice (Level 2) Today we looked directly at thoughts. We settled the body first, then let thoughts arise and investigated: - Where is it? - Does it have shape? - Where does it come from and go? What you may have noticed: You can’t really find a thought. No clear location. No solid form. Just appearing and disappearing. Awareness stays the same in the background. If it felt hard to isolate thoughts, that’s normal. This is a different approach — letting thoughts come up so you can see through them. Goal: See thoughts clearly enough that you don’t automatically believe them. Tomorrow: working with emotions. What did you notice when you looked at a thought? 👀

Why do you meditate?
Sharing your why can be incredibly powerful. There’s a story about a great meditation teacher whose students were eagerly waiting for him to arrive. When he finally did, he asked them just one question: “What is your intention to practice?” Then everyone sat in meditation for two hours. No long talk. No complicated instructions. Just that question. Your intention matters. It shapes how you show up to practice and how deeply you engage with it. So let’s hear it. Why do you practice? What is your intention right now? When you share your why, it often inspires someone else to keep going too. 🧘‍♂️

30 minute sit.
Had a conversation with @Brandon Mehrgut earlier today and felt inspired to do a 30 minute sit just now before bed. Feel refreshed and calm mind. I always return to the practice and I love how its always here for me no matter how long I go without it. Cheers. 🙏
