The Revival... & what it means for you
This group is coming back. With a few changes. Here's the cliff notes: (And keep your eyes peeled for the full update) - This group is now exclusively my group. EBG will lurk in here, but he remains retired, and focused on his sci-fi, porn, and stoic writing. - I'm working exclusively with a former client who smartly snapped me up after hearing the news. So I have no need, want, or desire to sell my wares to you. On top of that it would be a breach of contract. So I literally, and legally can't. - This group is being reinstated by myself instead of creating a website, a blog, etc. My thinking is this group was producing real value for those engaging, and those lurking. So instead of putting my energy into a boring, static, isolated website - I'll put my energy back into this group. Moving forward the group will revolve around three words. Premium, Rebellious, & Profitable. Everything will be geared towards making you the go-to choice in your industry, using contrarian marketing & sales that works, and all while lining your palm with plenty of gold. The initial plan is this: 1) Rebrand the group around those words. 2) Regular writings around being a premium, rebellious, and wildly profitable company. 3) Finish, and release the never seen before 2.0 programme myself and EBG started before life happened - for free, because I don't need your money (The 1.0 version was sold for as much as £36k - the 2.0 version was going to be sold for similar amounts). Why I'm doing this will be detailed shortly. In the meantime here's the TL;DR. - This group is better than a website, and I've missed you & my former clients. - With the rise of AI, I believe community is the future. - If I can serve you guys, for free, at a level I've never done before cuz sales & bills - I'll be able to buy a lot of goodwill, save you ££££ on courses & programmes, and all while building my own notoriety. Thanks, good to be here again. In the last month, I've been diagnosed autistic, which was never a surprise really. I also have cunting long COVID and what appears to be MCAS - the fatigue and brain fog is fucking brutal. On the mend, hopefully
“All sales journeys are long and complex” - Agree?
Reading a sales book about IT managed service providers. There’s some slightly odd statements in the book (and one too many shoutouts for Jordan Belfort who is a convicted felon). One sentence in the book reads: “all sales journeys are long, complex and filled with hundreds of little steps that all add up to one big outcome.” Can’t say I agree with that since I’ve sold over the phone in the space of 10 minutes (the buyer was in heat and the timing was right).

Did you see the guy on LinkedIn who does this? I follow him. He was sending coconuts with eyes drawn on to German engineering firms. Getting a good response according to him... the point being that even "dry" industries are full of people perhaps craving something different.

Without actually replying to this person's post and giving them advice, what would your advice be? https://www.linkedin.com/posts/carolineeardley_current-status-a-very-fed-up-pr-agency-owner-activity-7231622405603938304-k-vI Seems like they're doing pitching and proposals up front for no fee, and then being ghosted by prospects who were possibly only ever suspects. I've a pretty good idea what someone like Benjamin Dennehy (The UK's Most Hated Sales Trainer Would Say), but what do you say? Also, do you think her writing about it publicly on LinkedIn is actually going to help her win business? I would think not. Whether she realises it or not, she's doing negative marketing for the company she runs. I'm not encouraging anyone to mock or laugh at this person, and I won't comment on her post because I don't really feel qualified to say anything on the subject. If I had to guess, it seems they're not going for a "no" earlier enough to disqualify - it's like there's some zinger of an objection in the minds of these prospects that doesn't get ferreted out early enough.

@Steffen Leidicke The prospects could be tendering without telling her - some middle manager whose job it is to collect quotes and free proposals for some ruthless procurement department. This person is moaning publicly on LinkedIn - not great for convincing anyone doing their research on the services she supplies.

@Markie Reeds those types of posts are all over Facebook aren’t they!? There’s usually some self-appointed community champion who keeps reposting exactly those sorts of things thinking that they can force reasons for buying upon buyers
