Week 3: Listing everyday on eBay results.
We've been listing a lot more of the men's Lululemon that we've gotten from both purchases on eBay, and it's been paying off. We've been listing a lot of it on Poshmark, and we are on track to hit 90 sales in 30 days, listing about 10 items a day. Before we start listing more items every day, I want to make sure we sell at least 5-7 a day before we increase the listing goal. We have not listed consistently in over a year since we focused on building up the Whatnot business. But if you're looking to make some extra side income, this should be a sign to you that it is possible. You just gotta be consistent.

It helps if you have s steady supply too
Where do I find things to resell?
I hear this constantly You have treasure right there in your state It takes Time and effort Research is key to being a reseller what people do for hobbies, sports and fun there Weather These are things that are easily found right where you are at Estate sales in last day and leave your phone number for bulk deal or free pick up. They have to clean the property out to sell it Everything goes Contact real estate brokers and apartments or landlords for free or they pay you clean out but no clean up Rentals have to be cleaned out to re rent Put ad in marketplace free or paid pick up Libraries have big book sales Second hand stores Church yard sales indoor and outdoor Storage companies need clean outs Retail store closings Whatnot is great for resellers because new sellers sell for 1.00 open bid shipping is cheap if you buy from 1 seller at a time in bulk Marketplace Flea markets The bins Put word out to friends Storage auctions Yard sales Platos closet store People die and they want stuff gone fast People throw people out and list their stuff dirt cheap in hefty bags on marketplace Trash or sunday people clean the house and garage out trash is on the street Even the day before trash pick up The dumpster at apartment buildings and storage companies if you dont make a big mess for them to clean up All you need is a grabber, hefty bags, a walking cane, a paint roller with pole, gloves Dont have a truck or trailor so you rent one at uhaul 20.00 a day Tax write off If you spend money on hotel travel expenses save receipts and record it in a little book Tax write off Things you say that will stop you from accomplishing anything I have kids im a single mom Dont have a truck Dont have time I dont get up that early Just Being lazy Im only sourcing in my city I cant find anything? This job is just not for you Time to get an hourly job Because you are only in the storage biz because you want to be Remember its your biz You are in charge You have to make the effort

@Red West so wise... thanks Red!
I’m back!
Hey guys! I’ve been on a little hiatus because I found out on the morning of June 10th my youngest son was found deceased in his bedroom by his roommate. They ordered an autopsy but I still haven’t gotten the results. We laid him to rest 2 days after what would have been his 32nd birthday. So I took some time off to deal with things. But I’m back and I’ve already sold several items out of my store and I am determined to sell everything I currently have by Christmas so I can have new inventory next year! How has everyone’s summer sales going?

Week 2 Progress on eBay
I listed 20-30 items every day on eBay as an experiment, and I was shocked by the results. My entire eBay store is under construction. We basically started over from zero. I wanted to document the process of bringing it back to life to give people an idea of what it takes to wake your store up. So you can check out the progress here 🔽

@Jerry Wilson still trying to figure what sells best for us and what i can easily find. I checked out 2 flea market fairs near us. One in our backyard - that was a bust. No clothing. The other fair had clothing, but higher than goodwill prices for used jeans... so another bust. Frustrating...
Week 1 of starting over on eBay 📈
I think when running any business, diversification is key, but I still believe that you should really get good at selling on one platform first before you start selling on other platforms. Once you have gotten the results that you desire on one platform, it is a good idea to start expanding, especially with how easy it is today. That's what we're doing. We are starting to expand back on eBay, soon Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot Marketplace, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, etc. Follow the journey.
