A lot of people close old cards when they stop using them That hurts your score Length of credit history is a major part of your profile The older your accounts are the more trustworthy you look to lenders Closing old accounts brings your average age down A low average age means a lower score Unless a card has a very high annual fee keep it open Use it once every couple of months for a small purchase Pay it off Let it report Build age We are building long term wealth not short term excitement
