I remember when I left the Catholic church at age 29. It was a hard separation. But I felt the void so deeply. I knew I needed something spiritual in my life. I was just not sure what would fill that spiritual emptiness that I felt. I looked at different "religions" and other practices - but nothing made me feel at home or connected in a way that I still wasn't able to define. So I kept searching, living and practicing on my own. When I did a shamanic journey weekend workshop many years ago (1999!!) in Houston, I was able to journey and connect with spirit helpers in non ordinary reality. It was beautiful and I felt a connection that was very real and deep. I've followed that path for close to thirty years and never looked back. The Shaman's Journey returned me to myself.
