🌋The power of earth🪨
Just hade multiple earthquakes all around the world but for the first time we have hade one in are area. With the M4.1 earthquake near Crawford Bay BC this morning, I thought it would be a good time for a quick beginner lesson! An earthquake happens when stress builds up in the Earth's crust until rocks suddenly slip or break along a fault. That sudden movement releases energy, which travels through the ground as seismic waves. There are a couple important waves to know: 🔹 P-waves — the fastest waves. They arrive first and push and pull the ground. 🔹 S-waves — slower than P-waves, but they produce stronger shaking and cannot travel through liquids. 🔹 Surface waves — travel along the Earth's surface and can cause a lot of the shaking we feel. The point underground where the earthquake begins is called the focus (hypocenter). The location directly above it at the surface is the epicenter. And here's something pretty cool: seismometers can detect earthquakes much smaller than what we can actually feel. So today's earthquake is a great reminder that the rocks beneath our feet aren't actually as still as they seem! 🪨🌎 Did you feel it? What did you notice?

🧠 Running a business🤯
Man, it’s hard being a one-man army trying to run a business. Some days I swear my brain is about to explode. 😂 If there’s anyone else out there doing it all on their own — running the business, creating, marketing, packing orders, answering messages, and everything in between — I’ve got nothing but the utmost respect for you. 💯 We’re the people who keep things moving. We build, create, hustle, and figure things out as we go. Without people like us putting in the work every day, so much of what keeps this world moving simply wouldn’t happen. So tell me your story. 👇 Are you running your business on your own? What’s the hardest part of being a one-person army?

When i had my brick and mortar Occult store, i did everything myself. Sometimes my daughter would help me out with some things, she was in her teens then. For me the biggest struggle was marketing.

@Sheldon Evans you're better off without it anyway. I've noticed a trend moving away from it recently. People want to know what they are seeing is real
Note 3 how water traps🌊
Here’s another note from the book. This is one I think a lot of people overlook when they’re out looking. 🪨 Pay attention to natural rock traps BEFORE the water. Most people look at where the water is flowing right now, but I like to look at where the water used to flow. Old channels, old gravel bars, benches and other areas that the stream has moved away from can still hold material that was left behind years or even thousands of years ago. The creek might have changed its path, but the rocks and minerals it left behind can still be sitting there. Sometimes you have to look at the old story of the land, not just what the water is doing today. ⛰️🪨

@Sheldon Evans i'm cleaning up and putting things away after a big vending event yesterday. Getting some baking done. getting the first course up on my new medieval stuff community, and a new course up on my main community. so busy as usual. but the good kind of busy. I've also convinced my son to start his own Skool community .. he has over 2000 followers, sooo... i thought it would make sense as a next step for him.
