How to solve “problems” quickly!
This is a powerful bio hack to reframe and control your thoughts. This is how you stay calm in chaos and figure shit out, de-escalate situations and respond instead of react.

Powerful Principle of responding to a situation vs reacting. Tried this just recently when a fellow instructor didn't show up for an education session. Everyone was looking at me to see if i was going to "snap my crayons" and loose it. I remembered Jocko's message and said "good". It changed the course of the day permanently and was a powerful lesson for all of us. I'm grateful for opportunities like this. Not saying it was easy but wow it starts the process of "rewiring" one's mind!

8 second challenge (give this a try)
I have a challenge for you....First, congrats America...our attention span is now SHORTER than a goldfish. The average attention span in the US is 8 seconds...only 8 f@cking seconds (goldfish is 9) This sounds funny...but it really isn't. The distraction epidemic and the attention economy are destroying your mental health and ruining your wonderful brain. This is why you can't focus, feel mentally drained and struggle to complete tasks/work/goals. This online academy and community will provide you with the awareness, tools, techniques and mental exercises to get your focus, mental energy and brain back. Wanna test your attention? See how bad it is? Give this 8 second challenge a try. Let me know how it goes.

Greetings Team! My name is Don, and I am currently working in a large Metro Canadian City EMS system as a Paramedic/Clinical Educator. I will echo Whitney that I'm also daily working on responding vs being reactionary and learning the lessons by "embracing the suck". My goal is to better support my wife by being a better Husband.
