What's your life sentence
I read something the other day that stopped me in my tracks: “The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.” That line hit me. Because it made me ask — what’s my life sentence? Not the kind a judge gives you… the kind that defines you. If your whole life had to be summed up in one sentence, what would it say? That’s a heavy question. Most people avoid it. But think about it — one day, your story will be told in a few words. People will stand around, maybe over a few beers or at your funeral, and someone will say, “He was…” or “She was…”What comes next? If you don’t know yet, start living with intention. Because when that day comes, you don’t want people wondering what you stood for. Your life is your legacy. Every day you get a chance to write a few more words of your sentence. You get to decide what people remember so here’s the challenge — ask yourself every morning: Was I better today than yesterday? Because improvement is purpose. Legacy isn’t something you leave behind — it’s something you build in real time through your actions, your words, and the way you make people feel. Some people bring happiness wherever they go. Others bring it whenever they leave. You get to decide which one you’ll be. At the end of it all, your legacy will be built on purpose, encouragement, and love. You won’t live forever, but the impact you make right now — that’s what will outlast you. So I’ll ask you again…What’s your life sentence?
