Hi Ladies, A very Happy and prosperous New Year 2025🎆✨ wishing you all lots of abundance and success ✨🎆 I’m Karuna, a Hardware engineer based in San Jose,California. I’m a new mommy in town, who’s on maternity leave. My newborn has feeding issues hence I’m looking to maximize my maternity leave. I’ve got 12 weeks of maternity leave from my company, which is almost gonna end in few weeks. I read that California state has additional leave other than 12 weeks. My HR knows only about our company policy which gives 12 weeks. The information online is very scattered. I want to know how to leverage and the process to apply for the additional maternity leave given by the state of California. If there is anyone here who knows about this. Please let me know.

Hi Prashha, thanks for giving us this opportunity, I am a new mom stuck in a job I don’t enjoy however I am finding it tough to even try and prioritize my goal of finding a better job with my 10 mo, I do have help during my 9-5 post that I really struggle to set realistic goals and take actionable steps, confidence is low with mom brain still lingering , would love to know your thoughts on taking control back.
