Hi Ladies, A very Happy and prosperous New Year 2025đ⨠wishing you all lots of abundance and success â¨đ Iâm Karuna, a Hardware engineer based in San Jose,California. Iâm a new mommy in town, whoâs on maternity leave. My newborn has feeding issues hence Iâm looking to maximize my maternity leave. Iâve got 12 weeks of maternity leave from my company, which is almost gonna end in few weeks. I read that California state has additional leave other than 12 weeks. My HR knows only about our company policy which gives 12 weeks. The information online is very scattered. I want to know how to leverage and the process to apply for the additional maternity leave given by the state of California. If there is anyone here who knows about this. Please let me know.

A quick update here. I reached out to the resources mentioned here to the accounts on instagram and facebook. They both were super helpful and this Friday I got confirmation on extending my maternity leave. Thank you so much ladies @Divya Halarnekar @Avanthika Sankara raman @Prashha Dutra
