i used to photograph my sketches and post them as I did them and i have written about that before and my concern then other people might try to take those images and reuse them as their own, especially on some of the public social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. However, for my own benefit I have been scanning my images to 600 DPI to try to get a high-quality image of all of my sketches. It takes awhile to do this and I do have a dedicated printer scanner that does this for me. The trick of course is to make sure that you hold the paper down and let the machine do its job. I use this machine (Brother MFC J6940DW) for scanning. this is an A4/A3 printer and scanner, which I need for architectural drawings and scans. I also have a specialist A4 photo/slide scanner that scans up to 2400dpi, but i'm happy with the scans I have. have a look at the images below, do you think they show the sketch and the texture of the paper?
