anyone looking for a solid read i highly recommend "how to read a tree"-tristan gooley it goes beyond an id guide and instead focuses on the macro structure of trees and the forest. i have been utilizing while taking my daily snow walk in the woods and it has been very beneficial in expanding my knowledge base.

@Emily S it's been a total game changer for me bc it poses the world in patterns and structures and how to spot them and why they occur. it's very top down thinking, which i tend towards and then i can use the id stuff more bc i see the overall pattern.
i'm baaaack!
hi all! i took a long hiatus due to burnout, winter and crazy weather with power outages. the online break did me well tho and im peeking my head back outta my gopher hole now. i attended the tn local food summit in nashville in december with treasure, fruit and veggie conference in bowling green, ky in jan, had to miss the OAK conference this year due to weather and i'll attend the beekeeping school feb 7 in scottsville, ky. the beekeeping school is just $10 and one day if anyone is interested and in the area. winter is recluse, plan for the coming year and conference season for me lol. hope y'all are well and staying warm!

@Drea Glanowski i'm not a napper but sleeping in and hot chocolate have def been part of my regime. i'm super excited about beekeeping school! esp since i had to miss OAK (organic association of ky). i'm considering the WV farm conference in april bc it's very queer dominant.

Skool Tip Tuesday πŸ€“
Learning a new platform can be hard! So, every Tuesday, I'll share a tip about using this platform so you can get the most out if it! At the top of the page you will notice some tabs - let's talk about the first 3: 1. The "Community" tab is where we make posts and comment on posts like this one. You can sort posts by "default" "new" "top" or "unread" 2. The "Classroom" tab is where you will find courses. Right now there is only one course up but two more will be available on December 1st! 3. The "Calendar" tab is where you will find live chat or webinar events. I just scheduled one for this upcoming Friday - a "Chat & Challenge Check-In" Take a look at the time and see if you can make it! After December, I will try to schedule at least 3 live chat sessions per month. Let me know what questions you have about using this platformπŸ˜πŸ‘πŸŒ±

Seed mosaic complete?
I went bean crazy over the weekend and mostly finished my seed mosaic. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it! Next time I do a project like this, I think I'll plan color contrasts a bit better. I'm also not so sure about what looks like a hotdog lazy river inside the flower πŸ˜‚ I might plan to cover that up later this week, so if anyone has ideas to make it look better, please share! 😊
